Essentially I combined my old single target and aoe spec for a max AOE/DPS spec. I have been tanking the hole since 80 and pulling rooms holding aggro on warlocks and other high parsing DPS quite well as well as winning some good grp/grp fights. Single grouped the x4 on Codex side also - Karlovosh or similiar in a grp 80-86: others were Warden, inqy, conjy, necro, illy. No aggro issues even picked up adds a few times (our dps was low bt fight was same as single grping a Dom). Essentially I dropped my old AGI spec to Dragoon Stance for AOE zones and combined the STA line into it. Survivability form the loss of the defense AA points in AGI is nil - none so far (like 2% lost avoidance) and over all DPS is up alot to help with the AOE threat of room pulls.

Feel free to comment/flame as you will. This set up allows me to DPS great on AoE fights and hold aggro well.

WARRIOR TREE

Ok, I stripped my warrior tree to get a few new goodies so warrior tree is short a few points.

PVP/AoE spec for heroic dungeons (blue server would use this too).

Starter: 1 Currently my warrior tree has been shorted a few points and spent in SF.

STR: 4-10 I shorted this line several points to get SF abilities.

AGI: 4-10 For AOE 40% attk

STA 4-10 For double attk (this line was shorted block pooints)

INT 8-4-10-2 For Reuse

GUARDIAN TREE

no change recomended.

SENTINELS FATE

Unyielding Will +5 points (Hooray - no more deaths from this). Great for PVP good for PVE

Grp Moderate +5 points (I was initially opposed to this change but it works great especially

when my AOE dpsrs are ripping through multiple encounters).

Last Man Standing + Great AA - I love this one.

I feel there are more changes made to a guardian in sf not only the group moderation but tanking in general.

In the new zones im bored at the easy state of tanking we are in atm, i kinda enjoyed fighting for agro in tso but now no one gets over 40%... where is the thrill in that?

Im going to drop 2 points of group moderate to see if it makes it all abit more enjoyable.

I wouldn't bother with 10 points in crit, it's ludicrously easy to cap crit, I'm at 110% with no points spent in crit at all, in my group setup obviously. In my heavy tank setup I'm at 110% with 10 points in crit. And that's just through using a few bits of new legendary jewellery.

I've been running instances like this:

STR 4,8,10

AGI 1

STA 4,10,10 + SF endline

INT 4,8,10,2 + SF endline

and rank 2 (4 points ) Insight

I have to say I doubt I will change that setup 10 points in str 3 nets just over 200 TPS on my single target taunt, the one point in agi is just to get the extra aoe to proc insight or reinforc. I personally have no need for 40% aoe auto attack and yes I've held aoe agro off locks, conjys and illys that melt mobs away with the conjy being the one that causes the most threat. I may take that one point out of AGI and put it somewhere else for my raid spec but my guild has one more week till we start to raid T9. The tso raids that we have done (really just to get the AA for those that where max AA for the kills in tso) have been a blast spliting mobs without having to rescue or reinforce is great. Also 90% of the time I was in d-stance and sword n board only going o-stance duel wield just to see how much more I was doing than TsO.

As far as the new SF guard stuff atm I have group moderate unyielding will and the last man standing, for raids I will obviously drop group moderate for the taunt boost(the name escapes me the one that adds base taunt when the mobs over 80%). I'll be getting the Reinforcment for groups and raids and will probally only use the taunt boost for raids

My tso AA's are kind jacked till I get more AA.

But so far running sword n board in D-stance I've been able to hold my own with many different group setups. One group I was in was a brig conjy illy inq and warden no hate exfer IA on brig. I don't know the parses as I really don't care but I know the brig was boasting about doing 20k+. Mobs where just melting and I was keeping agro. Rarely did my meter go over 60%, most the time is was @ 40-50%

and I have to say Insight is awsome poping defensive minded before insight brings it down to 3 min..Mass pull rooms pop insight cast two blue aoe's, blues pop pull more mobs cast reinforcment use blues, blues pop pull mobs use stone sphere and/or sentry use blues. Its really great once you get a good rhythm going.

I'll get back to ya'll once I get some raiding done.

From what I can tell just from grouping with average parsing AOE class there might not be any issues as I've not seen the meter go to high.

LOL Toran - that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement

I bailed last April when they mucked it up so badly, and as much as I like the people in the game and all, the fustration of playing a guardian wasn't worth the grief.

Let me know what you figure out.
