I know humans can start in Timorous Deep but is there any particiular lore reason why this would be allowed? Would humans actually be accepted among the Sarnak of Timorous Deep?

How about human children? If say one were to be found. Would it be killed or would it possibly be raised? As a simply child to parent or as a slave?

Just curious. Thanks.

My guess, resurrected skeletons.

Probably people who descended from adventurers trapped in TD and Kunark during the Rending or Shattering. Maybe Teren's Grasp sends their young to the Deep so that have a chance to survive.

To the best of my knowledge Gorowyn has no slaves. The Sarnaks may have a general stance against it, having been created to be a slave race themselves.

As for humans - or any other race - starting in Gorowyn, I believe the opening fly-through when you start a character in Gorowyn talks about them cautiously welcoming these new races come lately to their shores. There's a Gorowyn ambassador in Freeport, and a Freeport one in Gorowyn, so open lines of communication have already been established to the outside world. The city and its inhabitants also lean heavily towards neutrality - even good-sided characters are able to shop and bank there, and until recently only neutral races could start in Timorous Deep. Even with their enemies, the Sarnak are more interested in compromise than conquest. After a few skirmishes with the Throm, you're given the opportunity to make peace with them; with the bird-men who's race I cannot spell, the plan to give them a slow genocide is overturned by a higher-ranking officer, while another Sarnak is actually working with one of them to try to preserve their culture and knowledge.

Given their level of tolerance and openess to other species, it surprises me very little that the Gorowyn Sarnak would openly welcome new trotters eager to hone their skills while assisting the city in its goals.

There's just as much lore to the neutral races starting in Gorowyn as there are for all the good races starting in Halas: None. It's really just a mechanics thing, but Gorowyn as a city in general is actually very neutral and openly welcome trade and interaction with outsiders.
