I am lvl 54...all my AA's have been reset, including character traits, ratonga traditions, etc...I will be soloing a lot with some groups here and there...I would follow Revel's AA setup but he is setup for raids. I would like to specced for soloing, but still be able to give good dps and buffs in groups..A - What should I spec my AA in for soloing and some grouping?B - Increase Max Power or increase power regen? (Character Traits)C - What spells should I pick to upgrade in Coercer Training?D - Suggestions for Ratonga traditions?? (Attribute, Combat, Non-combat, Pools, Resist)**Please be specific with any answers..I am basically noob status again**Thanks,Rizzy

I can only speak from personal experience, and am new myself, but I think I got it right the first time on my AA's after some trial-and-error.

I had a lot of success soloing (and grouping, although rarely do I do that) with the following AA split (by level 33). . .

I put 5 (max) into 'Charm' under the Coercer line immediately.

I then went to the Enchanter line and put 1 in mana flow to unlock the Wisdom line, then put:

-4

-4

-8

-10

-1

in the wisdom line AA's, from top to bottom.

That's where I am now. I intend to put a similar split in chronomancer next.

That's only my personal build, and like I said I'm far from a veteran with some optomized split (I don't even powerbuild when I know how, personally), but I've had nothing but success with it so far.

Well, if you've read Revel's guide, then you should have a basic understanding of the 'reasoning' behind what he parsed and posted. Now, while it is somewhat geared for RAIDS, it doesn't mean that groups/solo are left in the dust. In many cases, for many classes, the RAID setup is generally the GROUP setup also. There's been several changes, some as recent as the last GU55 that might have muddied the waters a small bit for soloing coercers, but not much (i'm also referring not only to the stat changes, and AA changes, but also to the content that you'll be doing in your 50's-70's). The general build for a coercer would be Chronomancer (AGI) line and the Volatile magic (INT) as the 2 primary lines in the enchanter tree with Spellblade (STR) becoming much more prevalent as a 3rd choice (once you reach lvl 70 and the AA limit is increase to 70 as well). Now, depending on your 'group' of friends, guildmates, or just solo, there's very little the WIS line has to offer that you can't make up anywhere else. You can easily max subjugation by casting spells at a training dummy for awhile. The daydream is bypassed by using the 'charm-suicide' technique (charm a mob, use it to fight a mob, let it die, charm the mob you were fighting, rinse, repeat..) and there's really nothing else in that line that is necessary, besides the fact you'll waste pts better spent elsewhere. For the Coercer tree, the MUST HAVE line would be the Coercion line as it contains your dps enhancements as well as Coercive Healing, which is great for groups (the healer will bake you cookies ). The Resistance line is also another 'no brainer' as it also helps with DPS as this line debuffs the mobs so you hit harder with your reactives With that said, charming 'pets' isn't what it once was since the revamp of our class a couple of years ago. Spells were changed to provide us more 'burst' DPS, so I and probably a few others stopped charming as much and started to either root/nuke or 'stun-lock' the mobs for those 'burst dps' spikes to kill. Charming does have it's fun moments tho'

On my lvl 73 Coercer I found that switching from Agi/Int to Wis meant that my charm often lasted full duration which has made soloing a lot more paletable....

Well Shaard, the other option is to find a Master Possess Essence (lvl 65) and you will not need to worry so much about duration as this 'pet' doesn't break, but with the disadvantage of not being as high DPS as you would with a regular charmed 'pet'..
