I don't quite understand the math behind Severe Judgement's affects whenever I place points into it. Does anyone know how much damage it actually adds?

I'm curious as to whether or not I'd be more useful to max out Battle Fervor or Severe Judgement FIRST. I'll eventually go down both trees but if I have to choose one or the other first, which would benefit me more?

My understanding with Severe Judgment is that it's a modifier to the amount of damage you can do. I've just logged into the game for the first time in much more than a year, so I don't know much more than that.

My level 21 Inq is wielding a Staff of Darkened Mists that deals 11-33 daamage. The first level of Severe Judgement says it'll increase my base auto attack multiplier (BAAM) by 0.032, which would be 1 + 0.032 as the base multiplier is 100% or 1.

Before 1st rank in Severe Judgement I'm doing 1 * (11+33)/2 damage on average. After taking Severe Judgement I'm now doing 1.032 * (11+33)/2 damage on average.

So, I'm assuming since I don't have a way to test it on a live server without locking in the skill that at 10 ranks your base multiplier will be 1.32 (1 + 0.032*10), or almost 1/3 more damage on average just from auto attacks.

Now, I'm still looking at how a 1.6 crit chance increase compares to the old 12.5% critc chance increase for the Inspired Renewal AA.

It is how Vigilance wrote. It increases you auto attack damage by 32%. About the crit: These was heal crit before the change and is now "all crit". early on it might help to get some crit, but near the end level you should be able to get 100% just from legendary gear.
