I have tried the mage classes (and not fond of their squishyness) and hate the machanics of the Rogue classes and while the healer classes can solo easy enough I hate healing.

So I am now gonna try a fighter archtpe and need some help choosing.

1: No evil classes I hate the evil side tried it with my wizard and cant stand the areas.

2: Want a class that can do good dps and solo good (not looking to be a main tank but will be happy to OT)

3: Want a class that is self reliant and can take on named mobs not always ^^^ but if the chance and the nerve struck me to do so I could with some challenge be abel to do so.

4: Want to be able to get into raids if i so choose to do any not as a main tank but at least a off tank or even DPS a little.

Thanks in advance

I haven't played all the fighter classes, but I can perhaps give you answers for my Monk.

Check - Not an evil class (although Darkflight Woods is an awesome starting area, FYI)

Maybe

Maybe Not - Unless you are comparatively over-geared, you aren't primary choice for a dps slot in a group. However, you can still sometimes get that slot anyway.

Check - We are great soloers and very fun to play for that purpose.

Check - This is gear-dependent, however.

Maybe - Like No. 2, you aren't primary choice, but can often get a spot as dps or OT in pickup raids, especially because of our raidwide buff and single-target avoidance buff.

Be aware that there's apparently an unwritten, universally-understood rule that having 2 brawlers in the same group or raid will cause space-time to unravel. Seems that way to me anyway.

Basically there is not a fighter class that fits your criteria.

1: Good classes onry - monk, paladin, guardian, berserker

2: Don't want to tank leaves you with - monk

3. Self reliant - monk.

4. Want to raid - Sht out of luck.

If you have your heart set on a fighter and don't want to tank, I say monk. Anything else (besides bruiser) and you will be invited to groups to tank. You won't be doing much off-tanking as a monk, but you can get a raid slot eventually if you prove yourself. You won't be invited to many pugs unless they are easy zones or there are no better classes available, unless you make a name for yourself. Although when you are invited to pugs, you will sometimes be invited to tank because monks are fighters. It will be hard and once you do get a raid slot, hang onto it. Best bet is to join a guild that will group with you.

Have you tried a ranger? Good at soloing hard mobs, fun as hell to play, doesn't play like a rogue/assassin, but unfortunatly the least desirable scout to have in a group/raid. But, it's fun.
