I was going over my abilites, wondering if any of them got missed in the recent "tweeks" to the clases that came with SF and I found one.

Siphon Strength

This debuff/buff still drains a target of STR and INT then buffs the caster's STR and INT. STA as well if you have upgraded it with the shadowknight tree.

Why was this left as it was? Shadowknights no longer use INT for anything any more, all of our damage and power is now coming off our STR. This makes the ability about 1/2 as effective as it use to be because of the changes, 1/3 less if upgraded.

Was this dont intentinaly? If so, why? So much about SK's got changed, why not this as well? Switch the INT out for either a AGI or WIS drain/buff.

Was this an accedental over look? If so when do is it planned to be fixed?

Is it just a typo? If so, what has Siphon Strength been changed to and when can we see the typo corrected?

Erm, actually, I don't think it works out to be a nerf. Before, it was +X str (which benefited your melee abilities Y amount) and +int (which benefited your spells by Y amount). Both spells and combat arts were boosted by the ability because you got both stats. Now you get the same benefit, its just all coming from the strength: +X str-->+Y Combat Arts AND Spells.

If anything, this ability is now more useful, since the stat caps are gone.

plus it still drain the targets str and int. but to be honest I don't know if mobs react the same way as players. example a ogre guard (fighter type) does he use int or not? and a mage type mob, is str affecting him or not?

I debuff str, does that mean I now debuff scout mob's carry capacity but not their damage output?

Not an oversight. Like DeathMarch... its not all about us. Draining INT meaning getting smacked around for less spell damage from a caster MOB. Having INT on DM means your caster buddies smack harder. Kind of the same reasoning for the Inqs having a str/int debuff despite using neither.

Debuff fighter NPCs STR and scout NPCs AGI!

So yes if we debuff str of a non figter npc we just make him less powerfull to carry his stuff..
