My sisters and I LOVE Billy and I sew so I was thinking about making Billy dolls for us. However, my one sister thought I could get in alot of trouble for it since the game content is copyrighted. I didn't think it would be a HUGE deal since we aren't selling them, I was just making 3 of them for me and my 2 sisters. Any thoughts on that?

I'd consider that to be "fan art" myself.

give your dolls pink feet soles and call it Billi. Then it's not EQ2's Billy.

I vaguely recall someone else doing this a few years ago. You could actually purchase a "life size" Nyth doll from her and she also made a cute little keychain.

You're not going to get into trouble just for making three dolls for you and your sisters. If you were selling them, or using them to promote something, that would be a different story. Copyrights are there to prevent other people from profitting from the work of the copyright owner. That's not what you're trying to do. Making something just for fun for you and a couple family members isn't profit. I agree with Sigrdrifa, it's just fan art.

Games Workshop would have you squashed for just mentioning the idea. SOE I think is a little more forgiving, as the other posters have noted.
