I have tried multiple things, but I cannot get the quest helper to fill-in on any of my characters since the latest patch.

I have tried:

-Alt + J

-Adjusting the windows settings for that particlular box (transparency, frame, size, location, unlocking/locking, click through enabled on/off, etc...)

-loading default ui

-/load_uisettings and loading any, and all, of my character's UIs ( I have 10 characters across two accounts)

-deleting every .ini that ctrl-f would find and having the patcher reinstall them (ran full file scan three times)

-opening the quest journal and checking and unchecking the quest helper box

-Completly redoing my graphics settings

Before the latest patch everything worked fine. Since the patch none of my characters can track quests on the quest helper. I tried searching the forums and doing the tips I could find, but nothing has worked thus far. Can anyone help me get this nice to have feature back?!?!

I haven't purchased Sentinel's Fate yet as I was waiting for digital release. Could this be the issue?

Thank you for any help ahead of time!

quest journel should have check boxes next quests, have you checked the boxes for the quests you want to show up in the quest helper? quest helper can now show multiple quests at a time in the display

I am having the same problem too, I also am waiting for the digital download. I normally run Fetish but yes I've tried everything, I've totally deleted my ui folder downloaded and redownloaded.

When I go back into my journal and uncheck the box and recheck it it will show the current like 6/12 in the window but when you continue to kill it does not update in the window but it does in the journal.

Maybe this is due to not having the expansion yet.

I am also unable to type in chat unless I go back to the standard eq2 ui. I think that is on Fetish's end though since with the standard I can type in chat

Greetings,

Your UI should not be effected by not having SF on your account. SF should only effect your zone access and leveling privileges. I haven't even had a chance to add the expansion onto my account and play around with it yet, but a quick check seems to indicate that I can track multiple quests. I haven't tested whether the numbers update yet, though.

If you have deleted your UI, what files did you delete specifically? Here is the full list of files I would recommend deleting:

cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniAs well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.ini

Thank you for fast response. I deleted the entire UI folder, I will however go in and deleted each character's, and ini files, Was trying to avoid that it's always a pain resetting everything back but if it helps and journal works and the chat window. Actually the chat window is the most annoying because I can't talk LOL.

Again thanks for your fast response and I will try those things.

You don't have to fully delete them. If you simply move them to another folder then you can move them back if this doesn't correct the problem.

Ok I tried what you suggested Didn't work (heavy sigh)

So....I deleted my whole Everquest folder and redownloaded from eq2 players Um is that a new launcher? I figured it would take hours to redownload and it didn't. Anyhow the Journal is still not working properly

I bought Sentinel's Fate and uninstalled my old copy of EQ 2 and reinstalled it. It didn't fix it...

So I started looking around again in the quest jounral. You have to manually check the box next to the quest. It probably was there all a long. I tried looking for this information in patch notes, but I may have missed it. In the end it was the 10% rule and I was not 10% smarter than the object I was trying to use. It was a small change, but one that could drive you batty should you not know about it.

As for my issues, thank you for your responses.
