Is it worth to put points in? sure its a nice treath proc but as we still have amends and other hate/treath abillites do you realy need it? Havent grouped/raid yet in SF so dont know how the hate control but seams to me paladins silll are kings of hate. Got 100 points in Crusader, So far 4/10/8/2 STR. 4/10/8/2 STA. 4/8/10/2 (3 in heal crit bonus) INT. And finaly 4/10/8/2 AGI for Lance and of course Trample! Love the remade INT line, sweet resists & a nice spell reflect! I can understand if an SK go for Cavaliers Shout, will of course try and see for my self, but still im courius so haft to ask!

Get it... its serious hate

... and to be brutally honest.. there isn't much you can get n the crusader tree... but if you're going DPS or Tanking this ticks both boxes. What this spell can do in instances should be iligeal

I would rethink your INT points with the changes. 8 in spell crit was a no brainer but 10 in normal spell damage just isn't that much of an increase. Most of the gear I've seen in SF lacks resists so you might be much better off for raids to have the 10 points in the resist.

I agree with Boli about the hate and have it for my raid tank spec - it was my highest parsable hate generation on a recent Gynok fight. I don't have it in my DPS spec since I wanted Heretic's for that but to answer your question, I don't think you'll need Cavalier's Cry for groups, only for raids. That said, once you have the points to burn, it is certainly one of the best SF options on the Crusader tree even for a DPS spec.

I'm not big on Cavalier's Shout, I honestly don't have any trouble keeping aggro with or without amends. Maybe if I was grouped with 4 other people all doing around 15k damage each I would go with Cavalier's Shout, just think it's a waste for a paladin, but that's just my opinion.

Once Battlegrounds even out a bit more, and people on Nagafen aren't just plowing through people who dont' have pvp gear, Cavalier's Shout might be fun and useful. As far as it goes now, DA and try to kill the warlock and hope he doesn't crit you too hard.

I would also go 10-10-2 to get down to the endline for the old STR line. The added hate would only be good if you tended not to run with a dirge in your group or if your Speed was so high the axe proc didn't help much.

The old WIS line has been crap for so long that it is easy to over look. I've dropped the INT line completely in both specs but I didn't think to check the spell comparisons. If I get a chance, I'll see how the 8% potency compares to the flat 12% (or whatever it was) spell increase. The major difference, however, is that the 8% potency is for your entire group whereas the spell increase is just your own spells and works more like Ability Modifier then Potency as far as I can tell.

Cavalier's Shout is well-worth the cost for raids but if you are looking to solo/duo/group then it probably is fine to wait until you have points to burn.

8% potency also works for EVERYTHING you do, the Int one only works for things under your spell tab in your knowledge book, or atleast that is how it is worded. I will say though that I am looking forward to trying out the spell reflect in BGs, not that once every 3 mins is very useful, for some of em that's me being useful for 20 seconds once or twice a battleground.

It's nice to have options. I can see arguments for the potency from WIS vs the resist/reflect from INT. STR is about the only given, though most will want the multiple AoE from AGI (cool as it is, it just isn't that useful if you are focused on single target in a particular spec nearly all the time. It's a given, however, for your DPS spec).
