I pre-ordered 2 copies of SF from Amazon for my son so he would get the Head Start access on his accounts. The pkgs have still not arrived so I did some checking.

Apparently 1) SOE did not authorize them to send the pkgs out early so they would arrive by the 16th. 2) SOE did not provide codes for them to email out to pre-order buyers.

I called SOE support. "Joe" informed me that the only way to get access is to have the package in hand. If Amazon did not send them out early it is their problem, not SOE's, and I would just have to wait. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me he doesn't have one.

Pkg tracking says the pkg should be delivered on or by the 22nd.

IF SOE's reason for the Head Start was to encourage sales of the retail pkgs they have totally failed. If this goes on much longer I will be declining the shipment when it does arrive. I have already informed Amazon of this and they are willing to credit me for it if it goes that far. In any event I will probably not be buying any retail pkgs in the future.

The only thing that SOE can do, at this point, to fix this fiasco is to flip the switch on my son's accounts and give him access now, as most of his guild are already at 90 and he is about to physically explode. If SOE wants to "do the right thing", you know how to contact me.

Greetings,

Sadly, I doubt there's much we can do in this case. The game didn't have a "Don't sell by" date and has been on shelves at some retailers for almost a week before the ship date. Amazon is always on the slower side when it comes to game preorders and shipping and that is not exclusive to our games. If you would like access immediately then the best option would be to cancel your order and pick it up at a local retailer.

Orderd from a mail order firm took the overnight option and had it on release date
