Cyclic Redundancy Errors?

<p>I'm having a problem installing Sentinel's Fate, and I can't seem to find a way to get around it.. Everytime I try to install, or even just use the "repair" function to install it, I get the same exact error:</p><p>Feature Transfer error</p><p>Feature: Everquest II</p><p>Component: Common</p><p>E:data2.cab</p><p>Error: Data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)</p><p>What exactly should I do about this? Is this a problem with the disk, or?</p>

<p>Just had the same error on my neices PC. Gonna try it when I get home. Currently trying it again.</p>

<p>Unfortunately I've had the same problem now about 5 different times now (5 different attempts), and seeing if the patcher will just DOWNLOAD it for me since I've registered the game. I'm seeing now if it behaves the same on my laptop.</p>

<p>Cyclic Redundancy usually means a bad disk.</p>

<p>How did you register the game , when you havent finished downloading it yet? I mean dont you have to enter the keycode?</p>

<p>I bought my copy at Best Buy, and I don't think I can return it (their return policy on software is iffy). I registered the key already as well. I am hoping it just downloads the expansion for me.</p>

<p>I have the same CRC error on my first disc. (data2.cab, progress is on Char_A1.vpk)</p><p>Meh, so much for a clean install w/o downloading.</p>

<p>If you had the game already installed, you did not need to reinstall using the discs.  Just register your key after signing into your account (located in the upper right side of the forums).  Once you have the expansion registered, the patcher will take care of the rest <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
