Relatively new to the game and love the mental image of the zerker (frothing mouth, flying blades and all that), but don't see berzerkers listed in any of the "solo-friendly" posts that pop up from time to time, what are the main reasons that this is so?

I own everthing solo, definatly group encounters, plus we have plenty of extra buffs we can drop to take on tough mobs.

Thanks for the reply, what are the challenges? Does zerker have enough healing capability to last through tough fights?

No we cant heal in combat, we just have good mit and decent dps (we do have access to out of combat heals)

Well, we do have a small heal in combat (Blood Rage) that procs on the occasional hit.

Also have a small ward that procs whenever Berserk procs, and a nice reactive heal that heals 4% on any incoming hit. But ... neither of those are accessible til level 81.

So do you find that the mit and blood rage are enough to carry through most battles? I assume that would mean that the Zerker's DPS is better that equal-level mobs?

yes, we are good at solo, some classes have it easier (ie SKs, Paladins)

our DPS depending on your build can be quite good, dont expect pure DPS class damage here, we are not monks

on par with a same level mob we do more damage

we don't have combat healing abilities except for the mentioned above, but we DO have very good combat saviour habilities - 1 that heals you for % if you get down on xxx% of your health. another that saves you from death, (replenishing your HPs and starting a countdown to extinction - avoidable if zerk at the time) and another that heals you for a % if you are almost dieing.

so all in all, a very rough class, that can take a punch and deal a lot, especially if AOE

if you want an easy class to solo, perhaps you are more happy with a SK or Paladin, but for a constant challenge i would never trade my zerker

I've got a paly,sk bruiser, and an 80 Zerker with str though gear and adorments @1032, crit at 50%, dps at 50% and Double Attack at 29% and attack speed + all re-use, re-fresh timers maxed out though AA's and i can tell you the Zerker is a Vicious Natural Born Killer exerting maximum destructive force of the highest magnitude of the 4 fighters. The speed at which mobs drop health is like the life is literally being sucked out of them it's actually quite amusing to watch there health go green, yellow, orange, red, dead in a matter of seconds.

I have been PvP'ing in the Sundered Frontier the past couple of days and am very pleased with my zerk. Almost impossible to kill it seems in full pvp gear--I took on two even cons and had very little drop in health. The reason we will lose is that we have no power regen capabilities. You will need to find adorns or gear that has power regeneration procs for real survivability in the new PvP. This is the only reason that zerkers will need some help in PvP. Mobs are not an issue really, but the PvP system makes fights last forever--power is an issue. Other than that, a zerk is a great toon to roll if you like to blow stuff up and get in close and dirty--you can tank or dps and have a couple of great raid buffs.

Agree with them being the shredders at L80 (90?), but how painful is it to get them there for someone who has a highest level char in the 40s?
