Anyone know how to fix this problem. I pop in my disc and a window pops up asking to modifiy, repair, or delete. I hit modify and it does a little statue bar and says it is complete. It never asks for the 2nd disc. Does this on both of my computers.

Repair didn't work. It couldn't find files (I'd imagine that is where the disc swap would come into place)

I chose repair and it looks like its installing. When I put disc 2 in a trojan error popped up. I chose to ignore it, since I probably should have had virus prtection off during installation.

If you have the bulk of the game installed already, all you should have to do is register your keys to you account and then let the patcher install what it is missing

Like Shareana says, if you have played the game before you should already have all the files on comp already.. All you have to do is add the key and you should be ok to play

I cant install the 2nd disk either. I get an error saying there is no disk in the drive. I see no repair option either and on top of that when the disk is in the drive it makes computer act crazy. Couldnt even get windows to load after restarting until I ejected the disk from the drive.

I get the same thing

E:data3.cab

Error: Data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

thats if it doesn't freeze first ...can't explore the disk or anything without it locking up either.

Also can't install from disc - missing that file. Activated my key as suggested to simply download the missing files as I have the full game already, but now EQ2.exe is missing - shortcuts no longer work.

Help?

I get the same window as the OP. Yes, I can try to just enter the activation code and wait for the download, but what is the point of buying DVDs to speed up the install, if we still have to wait hours to download the expansion pack update files?

How do I enter the code? I'm guessing somewhere under my account settings on the launcher?

Yeah I agree Mikkahl, i've been downloading now for about 5 hours. Sure would be nice if the disks would work so didnt have to wait so long.

I'm having similar problems as well. My PC doesn't even recognize the discs. I ran the patcher so now I just wait I guess

Can anyone help me? I put the CD in and nothing happens. So I try to open my CD drive with the CD in it and it says " Please enter a CD" I tested my CD drive with another game and it works just fine. I also tried to see if my computer would recognize disk 2... and nothing there either.

Guess the partial install with the disks wiped out the EQ2.exe file? Brilliant! Going to try and install the previous expansion and see if that brings back the file I need in order to even begin downloading the new expansion. Sigh...this is going to take awhile.

This worked for me. I was able to load the game CDs in the repair mode but in doing so it wipe out the exe file of my original EQ2 game so the game wouldn't launch. Reset my computer to an earlier date and installed the Number key, that is found on the front page of the start guide, into my Account section of EQ2. All is good now. On thinking about this, it might work to just install the Number key in the Account section and let the game download from the internet. I hope this helps someone.

At first I tried the modify option and it went really fast and did nothing. Then I tried the repair option and it loaded fine (both disks). Then I went to my account and entered my activation code and all my new stuff was there...

Also the update didn't take 5 hours for me mine ran yesterday when I logged in and took less then an hour.
