Several friends in my guild have exactly the same issue activating the code, we're all EU btw</p><p>I wouldn't have expected this to be related to the actual game servers downtime....</p>

<p>I have a response (from friends) </p><p>The keys causing the issues are second "Invite a friend" keys. Check carefully for the correct keys!!</p><p>good luck out there</p>

<p>SON OF A ... my wife just confirmed this</p><p>To bring everyone else up to speed - it looks like we're using the buddy / invite a friend key that was provided on a separate piece of paper.  The key we're supposed to use is on the booklet, not the separate piece of paper.</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>Sorry that I didn't have a chance to post on this earlier.  As others have mentioned, this error usually means that you're trying to enter the buddy key onto an existing account.  Buddy keys will generally start with 'RJ' and game keys will generally start with '2E'. </p><p>I wouldn't feel bad about entering the wrong key since this is the number 1 issue we're getting calls about right now.</p>
