Here's a summary of what I thought about the expacs, excluding the "adventure packs":

Desert of Flames: Not much I liked about this other than the fact that it increased the level cap. Content was mediocre at best.

Kingdom of Sky: Probably my favorite expac. Lots of content, interesting quests, fun raiding, decent loot for the effort at the time. The claymore quest reward was crappy for most classes but nice for healers. SoS was a blast, a contested heroic zone that groups could enter in the low 60s for leveling.

Echoes of Faydwer: Okay I guess. The AA lines were nice for most classes, the content was okay. This was the start of set loot with bonuses iirc. Rewards for the signature line were pretty good but pretty hard for most to get.

Return of Kunark: I liked this expac more than most. I liked how you could solo quickly to 80 by doing quests. What I didn't like was that the quests almost forced you to solo as many of the updates weren't group updates. This simple change would have made a huge difference. Epic weapons were great after a rough start, and while many are sick of it I think Veeshan's Peak was my favorite raid zone. I didn't care much for the end line armor sets, they felt like an afterthought.

The Shadow Odyssey: Good content but the raid zones were a bit too hard IMO. Yes good for elite players but not enough for more casual raiders IMO. I think WoE helped to make up for that. WoE was a good idea, the right balance of challenge and reward.

Sentinel's Fate: I guess we're about to find out.
