Her footsteps echoed through the cavernous halls of the Teir'dal city of Neriak, she was small in stature like most elves her skin was a greyish purple, while her eyes were icy blue. She was Talrea, a devoted priestess of Innoruuk, her black hair was pulled back tied in a bun. She wore blood red armor, with a black skirt, and blood red boots, the skirt dropped to just above her ankles wrapped securely around her legs, except for the front where a strip of cloth went down between her legs. On her right side on her belt she kept her hammer, the hammer itself was quite a dangerous weapon, with a long onyx handle wrapped in tight red leather, the hammer head itself had two sides the main hammer side which was crafted to show a demonic face, and the other side which was a simple slightly curved spike. The Inquisitor continued to walk towards her destination the Spires of Innoruuk, where the worshippers of the Prince of Hate dedicated themselves to spreading his will across Norrath.

Talrea looked at the scroll in her hand, it was a summons, from the Seraph herself. Why the Seraph of Hate wanted to talk to her was odd, she was only an apprentice priestess compared to the others. Tucking the scroll away she turned her gaze forward, stepping through the tunnel and into the cavern that housed the spire. She steeled herself knowing that showing any form of weakness within the Church of Innoruuk could very well mean death, or some ambitious apprentice vying for favor within the church.

Talrea walked forward up the stairs and pushing open the doors she stepped over the threshold and into the dark chamber, in the back of the chamber sat a throne where the Seraph sat, the Seraph would surprise many the first time they saw her, a half elf with tan skin and dual black, and white hair styled in what was known as the Harlequin. Her armor was dark grey plate armor, with heavy spiked pauldrons, while her weapons were two curved blades which arced with power in the form of right lighting. Talrea walked forward and dropped to her knee before the Seraph, those within the Church of Innoruuk knew that it was Innoruuk himself who was the true power within Neriak, and like so many within the city especially in the spires, Talrea served Innoruuk first, and Queen Cristanos second.

"Rise servant of Hate." Xilania Nevagon said her ton was somewhat harsh but still soft naturally so.

Rising to her feet, Talrea looked to the Seraph speaking in a polite tone to her superior within the church. "You summoned me Seraph Xilania?" Talrea had a velvety voice seductive to most.

"Yes. You have been most helpful to the Church of Innoruuk, especially your recent achievments in gaining access to the 'Shard of Love'" The Seraph spat the last part out as though it left a bad taste in her mouth. "Which is why we would like you to investigate some...rumors." Xilania explained as she steepled her hands.

Talrea blinked, curious she asked. "What rumors, Seraph Xilania?" The young inquisitor kept her tone respectful.

"There have been rumors, whispers of relics hinting at a possible...'Son of Innoruuk'. These rumors may be little more then some fool with delusions, or we might be looking at something more. I want you to investigate these so called relics and bring back any information you find." Xilania explained her tone even as she looked at Talrea.

"I under stand Seraph Xilania, am I allowed to take another with me on this investigation?" Talrea had someone in mind but knew it was better to ask first then risk it. After a few moments of silence the Seraph nodded her head. "Yes, but do not give them to much information, the knowledge of this quest is for you Talrea, and you alone." Xilania warned the dark elf before her. Talrea bowed once dismissed and turning she walked from the dark chamber and out into Neriak.

As Talrea walked through the city to the foreign quarter where she knew she would find her 'friend' for lack of a better word, she thought about the mission that Seraph Xilania had given her once she retrieved her companion, she would head out to Nektulos first, since Nektulos held great history for the Teir'dal any clues of the mysterious relics would most likely be there. Talrea passed by the headquarters of the Indigo Brotherhood, another sect within Neriak who faithfully followed the Dark Father, though not as dedicated as the Disciples of Innoruuk, but loyal to Prince of Hate none the less. Talrea had fought alongside a few of the Indigo Brotherhood offering her healing capabilities in a battle between Neriak and and her enemies.

Talrea nodded to a few of the warriors who where also heading to the foreign quarter, the foreign quarter was home to the D'morte Inn though it was home to the vampires of Neriak, there was no mistake that their was a wide variety of exotic drinks to saite any teir'dal's pallete. And that was Talrea's destination, not for drink but it had become a ritual or rather a habbit of her chosen companion to partake in the consumption of Teir'dal bloodwine, a drink she herself favored and if not for the importance of her mission she would partake in the drink.

Walking up to the Inn Talrea walked in and looked around, there were several Teir'dal within the Inn each enjoying the vices the Neriak Foreign Quarter offered, she saw many Teir'dal nursing drinks most likely Teir'dal bloodwine or some other exotic beverage, a few where in the company of the courtesans enjoying their time with female company until they had to go out to battle for the glory of Neriak. The young inquisitor payed them little mind, her attention was on one sitting in the corner, he did stand out quite easily garbbed in colorful robes he had spikey black hair and his left ear was pierced a Half Elf. The flamboyant wizard sat drinking from a wine glass the red liquid within clearly bloodwine one of Ashryn's favorites.

Ashryn looked up, seeing Talrea he grinned. The two of them had grouped up along with a few others including an Ogre berserker, and an Ratonga Assassin. The Ogre was out fighting in some battle or other, while Koratta had made a name for herself in the dark allies of Freeport, of the four, Talrea and Ashryn had returned to Neriak. While Talrea had been born and raised in the ancient Teir'dal city, Ashryn had followed to learn from the Spurnen the sorcery guild of Neriak. Talrea kept her expression passive that's not to say she didn't smile, or show her more humorous side, it was just that, now was not the time.

Sitting down in the opposite chair she waved the serving girl away, and Ashryn's expression turned serious he knew the signs something was up. Talrea turned her gaze to his. "The Seraph has given me a task-" Talrea began but was interupted by Ashryn. "That you can't tell me about." If Talrea was irritated by the interuption she didn't show it, she nodded and continued. "I would like you to come with me. I have a feeling your magical abilities will be needed."

Ashryn sat for a moment, taking a sip of his drink he sighed and looked to Talrea. "You know that I'd go with you even if you didn't ask." He said then he downed the last of his wine and set the glass down, he looked to her again. "I'll need to get some things first, I'll meet you in Indigo Hollow, near the gate to Darklight Woods." The wizard told her as he stood up, he smiled and gave a slight wave before walking off, leaving Talrea alone, the inquisitor sighed motioning the serving girl over the human returned. "Bloodwine." Talrea said simply, without seeing the human nod and head to get the drink.

=============

Ashryn walked out of the Inn, the wizard had a gleem in his eyes, smirking he walked through Neriak his robes billowing around him, as his staff tapped upon the rocky floor of the cavernous city. He walked briskly heading to the K'lorn Library which housed the Spurned as well as several ancient texts of magic. Heading into Cristanos Plaza he passed over the walkways and walking around the bend leading to the tower library.

Opening the doors the Ayr'dal stepped inside the library and made his way swiftly up the stairs. Heading to the top floor he found Viclin D'Rhivirr, making his way over the half elf spoke quickly but quietly. "The Disciples are investigating the rumors, they're sending Talrea D'Haruk."

Viclin's eyes gained a light to them he turned to the Ayr'dal wizard and nodded, responding in a hushed tone. "I take it she's asked you to join her?" Ashryn nodded with a smirk. Viclin nodded as he closed his eyes.

"I'm not sure what the Disciples hope to find but I want you to keep an eye out for anything that may benefit the Spurned." Viclin said in a serious tone. Ashryn bowed his head showing respect for the more skilled sorceror.

"I'll bring back anything of use." Ashryn said calmly earning a nod from Viclin. "Yes, and we'll prove who is the greater power within Neriak." Both mages shared a malevolent chuckle. Viclin then looked to Ashryn. "You best not keep her waiting the sooner you go the sooner we can achieve greatness within Neriak."

Nodding his head Ashryn turned and walked out of the room, and back down the stairs, grabbing a few spell scrolls, and components for his spells, the wizard walked down to the exit and left the Library, walking at a more restrained pace Ashryn made his way back through the tunnels of Neriak to Indigo Hollow, forming a smile on his face the wizard walked towards the gate and seeing Talrea he gave a wave as he approached. "I didn't keep you waiting to long have I?" Ashryn asked while scratching the back of his head."

Talrea looked up and shook her head. "No more so then usual Wizard." Came the curt reply turning away she briefly looked over her shoulder. "Let's get going. I want to head to Nektulos first question the soldiers there." Without waiting Talrea walked through the tunnel that lead to Darklight Woods. Ashryn shook his head and rolled his eyes before following. The orders of his superior firm in his mind. He wasn't sure what Talrea hoped to find, but if it was of use to the Spurned he would have to take it.

(I hope it's enjoyable for the first chapter.)
