when sentry watch activates when a group member "dies", do we actually take the damage from the "kill" shot or do we just intercept further damage the toon takes after the death save?

and does the hate position and hate increase proc on the actual kill shot or just subsequent hits after that?

The threat procs when the other player dies (when they get hit by a kill-shot). I believe you intercept the remaining damage after the other player has been reduced to 1 HP, but I could be wrong. I've never bothered to mouse over the other player's HP to see, but it seems they get down to barely a sliver of life. For example: I can't recall a time when Sentry Watch proccessed when a player still had 50% HP, I took full damage from a kill-shot, and they remained at 50%.

I'm not sure, but I think it only works for 1 person (even if 3 players died at once to an aoe or something), and I don't think it even intercepts non-melee damage, but I could def. be wrong about that. I've noticed it doesn't seem to save vs DoTs, physical or magic.

Actually, sentry watch will trigger for more then one person, as long as they die at the sametime, Ive seen atleast 3 people saved by it at one time. Also you only intercept damage after the person dies.
