Dear Dev's,

If you were wondering how we like your plans for our class you might have your answer already since we are one of the only classes to still not have a "Sentinel's Fate" info page after over a week of the NDA being lift and 4 days before the launch. Might be some insight into your customer base. Currently you are literally destroying our class. Brigands are so demorialised by what you are doing that one of the most out spoke people for us is from our brother class. People past by me in the street and shake their head and offer me their condolences. The only things we have had going for us the past 3 expantions is our 3 main Debuffs lines and you have completly centered and developed, or lack of development, our class on those abilties because those alone made us needed.

Now you are nerfing us, giving NO kind of base compensation to the class, and a set of completly useless and uncreative Class AA's. Currently as its stand we do the same and usually less damage then a swashbuckler in raid on single target due to more positional abilities and lack of continuously available CA's instead of shining like we should. In AOE encounter we are completly overshadowed not even in the same spectrum of damage as it should be IMO. As far as debuffing the mob we mainly debuff only the mobs defensive abilties and the offensive debuff we do are not even mentionable. While a swashbuckler is able to utterly criple his offensive abilites and do at least 50% of the same defensive debuffs that are always on the mob vs ours having down time. We have 2 temp buffs that the swashbucklers have as well while they have several more then us which is the source of alot of their dps.

Shouldn't you at least be able to have someone in our class look at 1 of our abilities and go, " Im excited to get that abilty" or " I can't wait to see what I am capable of in the next expantion." I can tell you that their isnt a single thing specifically pertaining to the Brigand that anyone is excited to see, not ONE.

Bottum line you have created a great big pot of "Fail Sauce" and we are the ones being forced to eat it.

Oh and here are the only links I can find for our AA's. Someone choke on it maybe a law suit will wake them up.

http://sf-aa.zxq.net/

http://sf-aa.zxq.net/rogue.jpg

http://sf-aa.zxq.net/brigand.jpg

@ OP Throwing the lawsuit word out is a bit much IMHO.

I will be really disappointed if we end up being gimped in the upcoming GU's. It's taken me 5 yrs of playing this game to truely find a class that suits me and lets me do what I want to do end game. I'm not going to give up on it now.

This is the demographics for lvl 80's on Oasis. Brigands being the lowest population of lvl 80's. Make you feel a bit wanted when people get excited that you have dispatch and know how to use it. ( yes I know about the upcoming changes but I'm trying to find where SoE posted that change )

Assasin----------------------------------229Brigand 18 4Bruiser-----------------------------------236Coercer 220Conjuror---------------------------------280Defiler 187Dirge-------------------------------------341Fury 349Gaurd------------------------------------297Illusionist 282Inquisitor--------------------------------185Monk 280Mystic-------------------------------------208Necro 352Palladin----------------------------------257Ranger 229Shadow Knight-------------------------372Swashy 226Troub-------------------------------------233Warlock 202Wizard------------------------------------404

I'm fine with the two new endline ability's but DoM still needs alittle tweaking and Cornered could use a slight increase in damage.

On the Brig tree is where the changes need to be made

Advanced Strike is a good idea cause the offensive stance for the Brig sucks. But the increase in damage is way too low for the amount of points to put into it. Need to up the damage 2 fold as is and add to trigger increase per point.

Murderous Intentions is one of the better ones on the line

Gouging Strikes needs % increased from what it is now

Debilitating Strikes is junk. Very little damage boost and the STA reduction is a joke. Need damage increase % like whats on Murderous Intentions with maybe an accuracy increase for duration of debuff.

Help for the Merciful is ok. Yea gonna get things like this for every class. Useful maybe for soloing or certain group situations....but wouldnt say I'd take it.

Blood Thirst. For the amount of increase and due to the duration of Puncture...makes this one weak. I would scrap this one all together and add something new. Like a passive "Improves base auto-attack modifier".

The Brigs NEED the direct damage output increased...not AOE. Swashy = AOE Brig = Direct.

Brigand

Advanced Strike: Improves the damage of Interrupt.

Murderous Intentions: Improves the base damage of Murderous Rake.

Gouging Strikes: Improves the base damage of Gouge.

Debilitating Strikes: Adds a stamina reduction to Debilitate with little damage base increase.

Help for the Merciful: Grants a chance to avoid to the target of Beg for Mercy.

Blood Thirst: Increases DPS when the brigand uses Puncture.

Cornered: The brigand deals area of effect damage with mini dispatch...up to 8 targets

Dude, honestly your ok with the big steamer they are leaving us with its a wonder nothing gets done in this community.

The problem isn't with these AA's its at our base level, be it most of them suck then again so do alot of the swashy's. Over all we need to have our class reworked to be on par with our brother class. Currently we are over shadowed severly.

Here is my take on it, like it or not.

Swashbucklers have always been about damage.

They are essentially the offensive rogue. Swashy's and Brigands should do about the same single target damage, but the swashys really shine in AOE combat. They have hate transfer and cripple the mobs offensive ability and give moderate defensive debuffing.

Brigands should be about survivability.

We should be able to compete on par with swashbucklers in single target combat. We have AOE immunity and a death save. We still cripple the mobs defensive abilities physically and do limited offensive debuffing mainly the ability to reduce the AOE range of the mob.

Since we are about survivability and we no longer have the uber over powered Dispatch I think our AOE immunity should go back to its previous proc rate or it should proc off of damage instead of when a combat art is used.

Beg for Mercy should be an until canceled buff on a single target in the raid. It should still give the mitigation bonus if AA spec'ed for it. The Drop Aggro Procs/ Intercede should be on a trigger that refresh every 30 sec or so. The new AA "Help for the Merciful" Should add a 15% decrease in hate gain to target and stack with other deaggro abilities. This will be a reverse of the Swashbucklers ability to transfer aggro to a tank. They help the tank keep aggro we distract the mob from killing a specific person.

We lack the temp buffs the the swashbucklers have to increase our damage and be on par in single target damage. We need a temp buff that does something to effect removing positional requirments from our abilties and increasing damage of back attacks by 100%. 10 sec duration on the same reuse timer as Inspired Daring. Essentially this ability needs to make up for the single target gap in damage between the classes so the %'s can be changed to fit the need.

These things I believe would even the playing field.

I dunno, from my experience we are superior dps vs single targets compared to swashys, and vastly superious surviveability against that target at the same time in heroic situations.

dear devs,

truly thanks for the new aa lines.i always wanted to further enhance beg of mercy. i alsowas totally looking for more detaunt poisons. i was a bit disappointed when you removed thevery fine recast reduction on one of our double up debuffs so they sync again but you madea red class adornment so i can still destroy the annoying sync on my double up combo.

also thank you for the lack of strikethrough or similar slightly usefull aa skills becauseon raids i like to watch videos with the vlc player. it has a nice overlay function whichallows me to watch when my aoe dispatch is up in order to click it instant and i don´thave to stick anymore.

i also look forward seeing more dps gap towards our counterpart since it was my own faultlike you whisely predicted. i could have rolled a cool swashbuckler. i would have gotten a nicefeather hat too so eq2 chicks ( only the "biggest" amongst them o/c ) would dig me big time.realizing this - i want to excuse myself for being such a terrible player that dares to play a classdevs are not in mind working on. i hope someone at soe headquarters reads this and accepts my appology.

yours sincerely,

a proselyted customer
