Patching the boxed copy

<p>If I were to pre-order a boxed copy, get someone to pick it up for me, enter the code/activate the expansion, would the EQ2 patcher update my game without me installing the CD's?</p>

<p>Although i'm not sure about SF yet, normally it does add all the new files from the patcher its just faster from the discs but that really wont matter when the servers are down anyways. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>People in beta can copy the pak files from their beta directory, to their live directory, which will speed up the patching process too.</p>

The discs were pressed months ago.</p>

I'm happy to forego the early start and pre-order.</p><p>However I want to download the SF expansion from Station Store (they already have my card details)... but have two questions that I hope someone can answer -</p><p>1 - Release is 23rd? (16th is early start?) Will it be available on Station Store on that date?</p><p>2 - When I buy it, I only want to download the expac - not the entire game (as I'm already patched with regular play) - Will I only have to download the expac?</p><p>Thanks</p><p>-Thoronve-</p>
