I am trying to install EQ2 on my friends computer so I can play while I am away from home. The issue is, is I am away from home and my discs. So I download the station launcher and begin my download of 9 and some odd gb.

I come back a few hours later (I do not believe it has even finished downloading) and I keep getting the message:

" There was a problem decompressing the file C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempplc4.dll.gz "

So I go to that location, and that file doesn't exist. No wonder it can't decompress that file. :-/

I'm just confused. I exited out of the launcher completely and tried again, and I even resarted my computer and tried again.

Help Please!

Edit: I am running Vista 64 bit

Assuming you're using Vista or Windows 7, make sure to follow these steps first

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"Please let us know if the issue persists after trying those steps.
