History as follows:

1) Decided to download the streaming trial2) Loved the game so after 2-3 days decided to sub. Did this via the streaming client launcher (received an email to download which I assumed was optional)3) After the maintenance on Saturday had many many issues running the streaming client launcher. Several freezes which meant rebooting the system. Even trying to install again didn't work - got the same error.4) Eventually managed to get into the game (I'm stubborn) but downloaded the station launcher as I couldn't face all that hassle each time.5) Station launcher proceeded to download 9gb but when finished I managed to get into the game with no problems6) Decided to upgrade to Shadow Odyssey via the launcher (not tested this yet - did it last thing as I assumed there would be a download)

Streaming client was okay - but annoying that each new zone had to be downloaded. I even missed my boat stop due to this (when the screen finally loaded I found myself on the way back to where I'd started..) - I prefer a copy on my HD.

So - my questions are:

1) Things seem a bit quicker now - but does that mean the game now resides on my HD and is not streaming? (I haven't visited a new area to test the zoning speed yet.)2) Why did the launcher not update my game today? This implies the game is still streaming Or is it just accessed via a flag?3) If it's still streaming does this mean I can't buy a hard copy of the new expansion?

Sorry for all these questions. The account page doesn't help - it just shows my entitlement, not how they are accessed.

As much as I adore this game it seems to be the most difficult to install and keep upgraded...

If you want to download the complete game get the launcher from here

http://launcher.station.sony.com/

This will download the entire game and the expansions that you are flagged for in one sitting. Total size of download with the current expansion is around 11GB with voice overs and alternate files. Every time there is a patch the launcher will download the update content in a differential file and merge it with the current one
