I just hit 20 and I made a SK because they were the most easiest class to level to 80 and there is nothing wrong in that. But now they said I'm getting a massive DPS nerf and I suck and go reroll or don't play and I really found people rude lol.

Anyways my question is their a nerf or something coming? If so is it going hurt me. I'm not much of a raider but not much of a tanker. So I knew SK was good for soloing and the reason I made a SK and how well they solo. I'm just worried I'm getting nerfed into something i will quit over.

Thanks

There are going to be alot of changes in the game. I have heard from all sorts of people saying that nearly all toons are getting nerfed one way or another. I think the idea is to just bring the sk down a little as in T.S.O. they got a little more than they should have had. I have a myth t4 sk and i love to play him. I'm not bothered about the possible D.P.S. nerf as a tank is just there to take the hits without dying, which they do very well. BUT... If they nerf the D.P.S. and DON'T raise the taunts, then it's time to worry as even if you can take the hits it won't be you getting them as you won't be able to keep agro. But i'm sure S.O.E. have thought of that.... I hope....

Anyway, try not to listen to what people say on 1-9. if you like the toon, keep playing

Pel.

Warriors primary stat will be STR. Meaning if you had INT gear you may have to switch to STR gear. Also will there be AA changes? To solo well you need AA. So curious as well if the AA lines did change much? Perhaps people being in the Beta can explain better?

For those naysayers the sky will always be falling every, class is going to suck, and none of the tanks will actually be able to do their job. If you learn your class, play it well, and enjoy what you are doing then you'll be fine. Right now SK's are awesome and I don't seem them being nerfed back to nothing. If you enjoy the class stick with it, learn it, and have fun with what you like.

Classes go through ups and downs but even when sk's were at the bottom of the barrel they were still capable of tanking, it jsut took a bit more skill.

All fighters will use STR as their primary stat. Gear will change but not sure if it will be all gear through all teirs or just the more specialist end game gear. Looking at the new additions to aa's for both my Pally and Zerk it dson't look like they'll be getting any major changes just a small nerf hear and a little tweek there. Unfortunatly nobody on Beta seem to want to post up for you SK's what the changes in aa etc will be As for what i've seen and heard about the others it looks like they are trying to buff guards up to being top of the toughness although their taunts and aoe ability isn't getting much love so all fighters will still have their uses.

I've been reading the following link http://eq2wire.feldoncentral.com/20...ndow/#more-3055 and i think it makes it pretty clear how you can biuld your toon to your desired setup, again a lot of the additional buffs are not seen too much on low lvl gear and come more in the higher levels.

I haven't seen anything about a massive nerf. Thats just something fools say because they expected Sony to nerf crusaders. They just changed some things here and there and gave us other stuff in return. Looking at flames, the sk AA's and so on is posted. This is what they say is on Test currently. Blood siphon looks good, way better than what paladins get. Seems like the main nerf is to eliminate the snap aggro both of our classes enjoy atm.

Crusaders

Avenging Hatred: Improves the recovery speed of the Crusader. 7% Recovery speed reduction per rank, max rank 8.

Cavalier's Call: The Crusader gains a chance to increase threat with their target encounter with every attack.

Sentry's Aura: Improves the duration of Divine Aura. .75 sec increase per rank, max rank 8.

Knight's Leadership: Improves the base heal, taunt and damage of Fearless Morale. .75% increase per rank, max rank 8

Legionnaire's Focus: Improves heal crit bonus.

Crusader's Faith: The Crusader returns a portion of the damage done to the target monster to themselves as a heal.

Shadowknights

Dreadful Nightmares: Improves the base damage of Dreadful Wrath.

Essence Siphoning: Drains the crit bonus of mob and gives it to the SK. 1% per rank, max rank 5

Magical Pact: Reduces the recast of Bloodletter.

Unholy Absorption: Improves the healing components of spells.

Pooling Blood: Improves the unconscious health modifier granted by Pools of Blood.

Unholy Sacrament: Improves the threat and damage of Grave Sacrament.

Blood Siphon: Drains the groups health by 25% and gives it to the SK as a 15 sec ward that heals for remainder of ward upon expiring.

GRAVE SACRAMENT CHANGE: You'll notice some changes to Grave Sacrament upon logging into the Sentinel's Fate Beta Server. Grave Sacrament now grants two threat positions to targets in the area of effect. The damage and threat amounts have been increased. The reuse of Grave Sacrament has not been changed. Highest DPS and hate blue AE we have now.

+ Lance (Agility Endline now a frontal AoE DoT+Snare + Our spell crits in the int line changed to an ability which increases all spells (including procs) by 12% of our strength.

If you're looking to melee dps in groups and the like then SK is very likely not for you, that's not our role, and while you can do acceptable dps, you will never match a real dps class, tanking is your only option. If you are refering to soloing and the like, then SKs dont have many problems, especially once you get your AA's set up. This is my second shadowknight, the first one having been deleted in Kingdom of Sky era, and with my 117ish AAs I find I have no problems soloing yellow ^^^ heroic mobs, at least up to 57 so far. Of course all that said, my necromancer is still my better solo character, maybe even my bruiser, at least one mob at a time, same with necro, but on SK I can pull several groups of even level heroics all at once and AE burn/dot them down.

rofl @ idiots.. people really are ignorant.. they seem to just blurtout random BS in channels and really, truely have no idea about [Removed for Content] they are talking about.. Maamadex hits the nail on the head.. there is no massive nerf.. simply taking away the insane snap aggro that crusaders have.. if anything else looks like they are getting a BOOST!! especially sks!

Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see =) tbh.. just sayin

regards,

    xav

68% crit becomes 22%, thats the nerf.

Lets be honest the safe choice for a fighter class is berserker. Guard is painful to solo and the other 4 aren't consistently a good choice for any role.

That said my fighters are a bruiser and sk so guess that means I like having fun and worrying about effectiveness at work

What did people expect them to do? If they left it like it is it'd give crusaders 68% melee crit, spell crit, heal crit and ranged crit lol. Everyone lost aa's that gave em various crits. Because of the following:

Consolidated Stats Stats on gear are consolidated, whlist gear may have said: +7 Ranged crit +7 Melee crit now it just says +Crit %. and your crit chance is the % chance for ANYTHING to crit be it Melee, ranged or even heal crit. Crit Chance % * Includes: Ranged Crit Chance, Spell Crit Chance, Heal Crit Chance Melee Crit Chance. Potency % * Includes: Base Spell %, Base CA %, Base Heal %. Ability Modifier * Includes: +Spell Damage + Heal Amount, + CA Damage.

It will hurt people who are lower lvl sk's without crit chance on gear some of course.

Justified for sure, but a nerf none the less since our spells weren't adjusted to account for the drop. The 12%? str to +damage may bridge the gap but its not being greeted with a whole lot of enthusiasm.
