Error in patcher using win 7- "Unable to communicate directly with plug in"

<p>So I have been having this problem in eq2 patcher when starting the game from desktop. I get the message window that says "Unable to communicate directly with plug in"...treid reinstalling graphics / vid card..using wind 7 on a labtop. Anyone know how to fix this? Also tried reinstalling eq nothing seems to work. The funny thing is that I had played eq earlier on this same pc and it was working fine..then eq crashed my pc and wouldnt let me repatch again. Any help would be appreciated it!</p>

<p>Seems all you have to do is right click and  'run as administrator' problem fixed for me <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>Running vista - the streaming patcher strongly dislikes google chrome as a default browser.  I ran as admin just to be safe but first had to reset IE7 as default. FYI for anyone else with this issue.</p>

<p>Is there a way to turn off the streaming, rather than be forced to use Internet Explorer?</p>
