Roger "Patherpanchali" Uzun designs the raids for EQII and Brett "Timetravelling" Scheinert often works with him on these. Timetravelling was kind enough to sit down and give us an overview of the new raids coming with Sentinel's Fate.

Look closely. The Vigilant x2 raid zone. Hopefully it's like WoE.

More importantly:

For example, the Berserker might—in some bizarre Kiara-run-world—receive an adornment that causes them to spawn Rabid Bunny pets whenever their Berserk effect is activated.

You know this will be the most popular part of the expansion!

I vote YES to adornments spawning mass attacks by Rabid Bunnies in 2010!

Ara

Is it just me or does it seem a bit thin for raid content, 4x I mean? I hope there are plans to release additional with the GUs.

it depends on how many nameds are in each zone. If theyre 3 huge raid zones then there will be enough content to keep players busy until a couple months in when they add new raid zones.

As far as gear goes, I guess I'd have to wait and see how good these adornments actually are, but I like the idea of getting to choose which effects you want via adornments.

Ok not sure if its only me but when i click the link Kiara has posted after about 10 seconds on the page the page moves on to a BG display. Any way to disable that as it's annoying as hell. If i wanted to read about the BG's i'd follow the link not have it flashing up when i'm trying to read about raid content

im not seeing how this is less or "thinner" content than TSO release. TSO released with only 3 x4 zones, ToMC/PoAO/YIS. all other raids including all x2 content was released AFTER TSO launched. this is already out doing that with 3 x4 raids that have multiple difficulty level mobs. which in essence makes it almost 2 zones in one, seeing as though you will need to farm the easier versions to take on the harder. so thats 6 x4 zones, plus the x2 thats coming with it, not being added later. the only content its behind in is the number of contesteds, but really that cant be considered under the same terms since it only applied to a very small portion of the community, not the community as a whole.

In The Sentinel’s Fate we are addressing these issues by moving away from class-specific sets. Many of the sets will fulfill a role/playstyle—such as a plate-wearing tank, or a leather-wearing healer—instead of being the Berserker or Fury set. However, we certainly did not want to cause players to lose the unique focus effects and set bonuses received from their gear.

A-HEM There ARE Leather Wearing TANKS!
