Looking at the changes on Test, which I'm assuming are going to be going live with the next ex-pac, it looks like Ranger's damage is now determined by AGI only and STR is not important at all.

Luckily the stats on current items with STR/INT seems to be automatically changing so that they have more AGI, but not 100% sure if that means that current T8 gear will be good enough, or if we're going to have to completly overhaul our gear on release day. I guess as most people will be moving to T9 it's not going to be too bad as we'll all by upgrading anyway.

I do worry though, this is a major change to combat mechanics in game, and it's only become visible to the player base 12 days before it is implemented. The devs had better have thought this through really well....here's hoping

Actually, for all the OTHER issues we're running straight into come SF release, the stats switch from strength to agility seems to have gone fairly well. I don't think you're going to have to worry at all about overhauling your gear come release, all scout armor now has agility as its primary stat, if it had strength before. My agility on beta is in the stratosphere.

They've gone through every item in the game and switched the stats up to reflect the change. Still, your AGI stat will be far less than what your STR is now, they didn't do an exact straight-up number switch but the new SF gear will fix that in time.

However your agi stat will only affect your ranger when you actually play them, which yet again this expansion doesn't give you much reason to.

I think they did a pretty good job staying on top of this. Net for me on beta was an improvement.

They did a good job getting the items changed over to agility

I think they did a great job as well at getting the items switched over from strength to agility. I don't see a problem there.

One question I have as a woodworker, will any of the weapons or shields I've made become obsolete with the new expansion, replaced with better models? Or will existing weapons/shields automatically be upgraded?

Edit: Whoops, posted this in the wrong thread.
