Everquest 2 is on my computer in clumps of DVD installed and direct download expansions. I ordered the Collectors Edition of Sentinel's Fate and was wondering if it would be better to just delete everything and just do a fresh EQ2 install.

Is there any advantage of doing a fresh install or should I save myself the time and just enter the key on my account page?

You don't even have to do an install from the discs... I usually do, so as to get the bulk iof the files over, but if not the launcher will download it all for you anyway. And there WILL be additional files that didn't make the DVD-burn date that have to be patched up even after you do the disc install.

The DvDs are jsut handy for a re-install, if you need it. Or to put the files on a new computer.

If you are not otherwise having any problems I wouldn't. As mentioned, you will still have to patch and you would need to re-setup your ui and re-install any addons you might have. I, however, have been crashing to desktop at least twice a night since I re-subbed about 2 weeks ago so I am going to do the start from scratch thing to see if that works any better.

I was crashing a lot not too long ago. Turns out it was the fact that my computer was so fragmented it could barely run it seems, hehe. After defragging life is much better now.

Using this post for a question :

Came back like 1 month ago and didn't want to buy TSO to give me the time to see if EQ2 was catching me again or not.

SF is out in few weeks now : if I buy SF, will I get TSO at the same time (a all-in-all package) or will I have to buy also TSO ?
