View Full Version : So is SF the pack where Nagafen will drop?

Given that Lord Nagfen is L100 and max level will be L90 I'm wondering is SF will be the pack where a raid will be able to kill him.

Anyone care to speculate?

Does it honestly matter? Years ago, a raid killed him during an expansion beta period. (Not surprisingly, SOE immediately corrected the tactics that was used to kill him.) He dropped T5 loot.

This dragon is a pillar of EQ2 lore. No matter what the players will do in a raid, the story will always make this dragon survive. Other than bragging rights, what's the point? T5 loot?

Not only that but they are a half a tier closer to those mobs then they will be to Naggy at 100 because TSO didn't raise the level cap. So my prediction, there will be guilds that try to kill him, but I doupt anyone will be able to until the Next expainsion because they just won't be powerful enough, heck they might not be able to even then because once a mob gets more 8 levels above you it becomes next to impossable to do any damage what so ever, and they do many times normal damage to you.

Naggy was taking about 80% of a Dev buffed toons life pool at level70 back when DLW was in testing, and a dev buffed toon has about the same size life pool as epic mobs, with 100% regen every few seconds.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he will be raising his own adventure level soon to 200.

Edit: hmmmm that might be an interesting Idea being that he has a underground kingdom to manage getting out and adventuring might be a pain for him perhaps he might hire you by Proxy with a Prisimatic Charm that Funnels (Not that you would notice) XP from the hundreds of of adventurers he might give them to.

;p

also keep in mind can only bring 6 people into his lair. even if at level 100 wont be able to do a raid.

and like zabjade said by the time we got to 100 its likley SoE will raise nagafens level.

Thats why all avatars are lvl 88 and in MMB you need to wear an earring that raises your lvl. You can only land spells/CA's on something 8 levels above you.

Yes it would be for bragging rights only.

Sorry but the forums have been a little dead/static for the past few weeks so I thought I would bring up a new topic just for the hell of it.

Naggy will never go down during "live" builds, unless they change the zone type from 6 man group to x4. Even then it also depends on what they make his level as we get closer to his.

This is what I forsee:

SF comes out, a guild assembles their forces to go take him out. They make the pull and fight him, taking him down to 5% health. Naggi suddenly breaks the encounter, spouts some text, despawns for a second, and respawns. His level's now over 9000, and he proceeds to one-shot the entire server.

Just calling it.

Back when level 70 was the max level the avatars and most (although not all) raid mobs were in the level 75 range. And lets not forget bugaboo who was level 80 (albeit x2). People had no problem landing spells and ca's on him. Just sayin.
