Hello all

I am having a strange issue with the new GPU 3.0 shadows I've heard so much about.

Apparantly shadows are kind of... rendered *through* my character or somesuch. It is very hard to describe, but here is a screenshot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../EQ2_000000.jpg

I have a very good system: 2.6 quad core, radeon 4890, 12gb ram (yup), vista 64bit.

Any ideas what is going on? Could it be vista related? I understand vista doesnt get along with... everything.

That's certainly strange. If you haven't already then updating your graphics card drivers would be my first suggestion. Besides that, we'll probably need the first few sections of your DXdiag in order to locate the cause of the problem.

I actually just installed the latest ATI drivers 2 days ago while attempting (unsuccessfully) to fix an issue with Vanguard.

I just ran DXDiag and uploaded the xml here: http://download755.mediafire.com/tg...vmlm/DxDiag.xml

I do run vista 64bit... should I also click the 64bit dxdiag button I see?

I have the same problem, the way I "fixed" it, was to simply switch the shadows to CPU instead.

Other suggestions is to disable Adaptive Antialiasing and Catalyst AI.
