can't get past the character log in

<p>hello everyone. i created a character and hit the play button but after it gets done loading everything i get sent back to where i started. can't seem to get into the game itself</p>

<p>Greetings,The issue you're describing is almost surely caused by a blocked port on the router.  If you are using a router then please try bypassing it so that your computer is connected directly to the modem.  If that fixes the problem then you will need to set up that router for port forwarding in order to continue using it.  The following site has detailed information about how to do so:<a rel="nofollow" href="http://portforward.com/" target="_blank">http://portforward.com/</a>Simply select the router you're using, click the 'skip this advertisement' link, and then select Everquest 2 on the following list.  That should present you with instructions on how to set up port forwarding on your router.</p>
