<p><span ><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>GIVE US REACH BACK!!!!!</strong></span></p><p>Ever since reach was taken away by SOE, swashbucklers have been dropped to the bottom of the totem pole in the scout department for pvp.  On top of this SOE decides to add items to the game which allow OTHER classes to HAVE reach.  The pvp item boomerang, necklace off of the avatar, and the charm slot item all give classes an improved reach ability.  So not only has our one defining ability get taken away for pvp but now we must be weiry of other classes having this ability while we simply can't even use it....</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Each class has certain abilities that define it.</span></strong></p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Brigand</strong></span>- THREE class specific stuns, a dazing root, elite debuffs, dps temps, and not to mention cheap shot and walk the plank.</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Assassin</strong></span>- 7 second pvp stifle, 5 second pvp root, also cheap shot, and assassinate which often times hits for over 5k in pvp.</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Ranger</strong></span>- Knockback, 2 roots, 6 second recast 71% snare, and lets not forget sniper shot.</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Troubador</strong></span>- Mesmerize ability</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Dirge</strong></span>- Fear ability</p><p>AND finally the Swashbuckler.. What defines us??</p><p><strong>Swashbuckler</strong>...  Is it our temp buffs that take a total of 5 seconds to cast all of them??  Mesmerize ability?? A nice thought but the fact is it only lands about 40% of the time and has a 5 meter range (not to mention the troubador mez is about 100 times better considering duration/range/resists/etc).... What defense do we get when we're jumped by any other class??? The answer is NONE...  Our one defining ability WAS reach.  If we were jumped we could use our cheap shot and snares to skillfully kite other scout classes around.  So I say what gives SOE?!?!?!  You have the balls to take away our one great ability and then you go ahead and make that ability available to everyone else in the game....  Since the day you took that ability away I haven't talked to one other swashbuckler that hasn't cringed at the question, "So how do you feel about not having reach anymore?"  I ask only that you consider re-instating our abilities so that once again we can compete with everyone else....</p></span></p>

This really belongs in the PVP section. PS. If another class can wear a miragul charm or plague neck, so can you.

<p>Sorry for rezzing the dead, but reach isnt game breaking. Other classes have skills that are far better in pvp.</p>

<p>Reach was down right nasty in pvp.  The extra range on ca's were especially tough, you could snare someone and do combat art damage that normally you'd have to be toe to toe with someone to do, it was deemed op and taken away.  We're prolly never gonna get that back but, the miraguel charm is a nice consolation prize if you want extra range in pvp.</p><p>As for class defining we have probably the best ae damage of any of the scouts, that's a decent trait to hang your hat on.</p><p>Raznor</p>

<p>Some of these posts are from two weeks ago... yet I've had an AA ability called Reach in my Swashbuckler tree since Sentinel's Fate launched two months ago.  Which increases range on CAs and Autoattacks as described.</p><p>Did I miss a memo?  If this was gone at any point, seems like it's back?</p>

<p>I believe the OP is refering to reach in pvp combat, where it was removed some time ago.</p>

You noob.... </p><p>1. Swash temp buffs are so leet its ridiculous. Throw DoM on top of it all and you can blitz kill [Removed for Content] near any class within seconds.</p><p>2. Carry anti stun / stifle and root / snare pots. You should be able to see what is coming at you and should be able to prepare accordingly. Btw, rangers will always snare you to like -100000 run speed. Just hit sprint and get your snares on em. Land that first cheap shot and go to town. Make sure you bag the corpse.</p><p>3. The swash mez works quite well if I remember correctly.</p><p>4. If you can't pvp with a swash, I recommend switching classes because swash pvp is easy mode. I suspect that you are not twitch enough to be the melee dps type. You might as well reroll a crusader or clothy.</p>

<p>Well i agree with the creator of this thread, we do get nothing in the way of pvp apart from good straight up dps. Ive been pvping on the swash for some time now, mainly when we had reach, and without it, really what do we have? Just a decent burn with temps and thats it. Brigs are my main concern being the other Rogue, having stuns, force faces, roots and the ability to practically 1 shot most classes if they get their combo off (double up). Swashbucklers on the other hand, just have cheap shot, and walk the plank.</p><p>Blindsite i honestly believe you are saying that because you have the reach charm, without it you would be on the other side of things. Ive talked to you about this lol so i know.</p><p>Swashbucklers should be given Reach back, it is in the game for every single class to obtain, so it would seem stupid not to give back a swashbucklers ability. If it was so "OP" to take it out of PVP, why would you make it available for every class in PVP, if it was that OP, then the items should be disabled in PVP also.</p><p>Kenpachii</p>
