What lvl does Ranger feel like a Ranger??

<p>  New to the Game, and rolled on a PvP Server...( I know I know, huge mistake ) but I have always played Rangers even though I hear they are Gimped in This game from what the forums are showing...</p><p>   I am 14 now and I feel like an Assassin with a bow, I shoot 2 times and then Mele it...The snare is garbage, what lvl do they get to stay with bow in hand or is this never the case?</p>

<p>The 'transition' takes place from your high 20's through your 30's.  By the time you reach your low 40's you will definately be feeling more 'Ranger-like'.</p><p>The road to level 30-ish is not that long, so hang in there.</p>

<p>I think around levels 25-30 or so.</p><p>**sorta spoilers below, if you want your ca's to be a surprise, dont read further really**</p><p>That is when you start getting your first big hitters and ranged combat arts that slow creatures.</p><p>You get escape(25), hidden shot (26) (your big hitter), and triple shot (another good damage shot).</p><p>This will be when you are fleshed out as a ranger.  After picking good pull spots, you will find that you are often seeing mobs crash dead at your feet having never hit you or only once or twice making contact.</p><p>Just keep those big hitters and the slowing ca's upgraded to at least adept.  That way they are helping you more.</p><p>Later on, at level 50 you will get an encounter affecting ca called Storm of Arrow, and then at 58 you will get your big bopper, Sniper Shot.</p><p>Hope that helps somewhat:)</p>

<p>Being new, maybe you don't remember this, but the way class progression went originally was that you chose your archtype at creation (scout).  Then at level 10 you did a quest to choose your class (predator) and at 20 you did a quest to choose your subclass (ranger).  So definately don't expect it to feel like a ranger until after level 20.  In fact, in my experience ... no matter what I chose (caster, healer, scout or tank) they all seemed exactly the same the first 5-10 levels.  I agree with sai, 25-30 at least. </p>

<p>For me the defining moment where I felt like a Ranger on mine was 44. Up until then I was really enjoying it but when I got Snaring Shot I really got the sense of enjoyment from my Ranger that I have felt since then.</p>
