Gains are not always about a small amount of large numbers, they're often about a large amount of small numbers that add up to a large number.</p><p>In the case of Minion's Barrier, at level 80 adding 16% to the pet's defensive stats amounts for an increase of 19.2 defense and parry, which is not an insignificant amount when you consider the pet's base defense/parry is 400 and the cap is 520 (again at level 80).</p><p>Besides, it's not like there are too many options when it comes to using the tank pet, AA wise.</p>
