Since the last update I've experienced alot of crashes after using the in game browser. It doesn't crash all the time but I'd say at least 50% of the time. The crash occurs shortly after closing the browser. I'm using profit UI and have checked for updates but there are none.

Greetings,

If you remove that custom UI does the problem persist? Profit and Fetish tend to be pretty good as 3rd party UIs but it's not out of the question that they could be causing the issue in this case.

Does this happen for both of you only when closing the browser? If so, I wonder if it's a setting with that browser that runs when it is closed. The only function I can think of at the moment that would do that would be the 'Delete browsing history on exit' option. If you have that enabled then you might want to try disabling it temporarily to see if the problem persists.

I will try without the UI and see if I get the problem still.

i7 920nvidia gtx 295win 7 x64

You may want to check if your browser automatically deletes your browsing history as well.

Issue occurs with profit installed and without profit installed. No update from Profit. No Update from SOE. The program freezes after closing browser. I have to ctrl+alt+del and start task manager for windows error message to come up and EQ2Client to close. After reading the error message associated with crash it says it occured after reading the file xul.dll So I renamed the original xul.dll and did a full file scan. New xul.dll file was downloaded and decompressed. However did not resolve the problem. Was this problem resolved for you and how?

I'm having the same issue. It's not always imediate, but normally shortly after using the browser window.

Also Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit...

Seems like it may be a Windows 7 thing.

Edit:It also seems to primarlly be with EQ2i, maybe a flash thing?

Updating since I finally got results.

Normal UI still crashes.

Is there any fix for this issue? I haven't been using the browser and just wondered if this problem has gone away or if there is a work around?

I have this problem too, I use EQ2 maps but not profit or fetish.

I typically use it to visit EQ2i, so that's where I go 99% of the time. It works fine, and after closing the browser I get a crash or it happens shortly afterwards.

I know this thread is about a year old, but this problem has just started happening on my desktop. I am using a fully updated ProfitUI with no extra addons. I have tried the default UI and the same problem happens. Has anyone found a solution?

We actually have a recent discussion on this topic here and a workaround was posted to prevent crashes with the browser on certain flash based, or enabled, websites.

Here's the thread,

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=500470
