Class selection... need some feedback... make your case.

<p>I'm rerolling to get a scout for SF. I love scouts, but know little about all the differences. </p><p>So my question is... I'm looking Assassin or Brigand. Can you make a case for or against one or the other? I've been messing around with a beta-buffed brigand a bit and have been enjoying it. </p>

<p>Well, both classes are actually a bit different. I've played an Assassin up to 70, and a Brig up to 72. Heres from what I've seen...</p><p>Assassin - A little harder to solo, seems to be focused much more around group dps. You have, if I remember right, one short stun for a long list of positionals.</p><p>Brig - Much easier to solo with. Not as much dps as the assassin, but you get Debuffs. You get three different types of stun, plus down Agility line you get a skill that forces a mob to turn away from you. Requires you to do alot less hoping around to fire positionals.</p><p>In short, it depends on what you like more. Both are good for group play, Brig does less damage, but has Debuff utility.</p><p>EDIT: From what I understand, theres alot of talk about Brig's Debuff abilities, namily a few key ones, are going to get tore out of the class and given to swah and conjuror. If your aiming more towards group play, assassin might be better. Otherwise, Brig is still ok.</p>

<p>My main is an assassin, and I have a brig I've been playing with who is 78 now.  Hands down, soloing and leveling is more fun with the brig.  Soloing with an assassin is painful.  When TSO came out and I was pretty well raid geared, it wasn't so bad.  But RoK kinda sucked.  I didn't have much raid gear at the time. </p><p>But in groups, brigs have huge aggro issues.  When leveling I ripped aggro constantly off of SKs and zerkers who were mentored to a few levels above me. </p><p>All things considered, I'd probably reccomend you go brigand.  Groups and raids still want one for the debuffs and frankly, everyone and thier brother has an assassin alt these days.</p>
