Same here, launcher a no go, tried running it via the EXE and got the "client version different from server"

What happens for me is the station launcher process is in the task manager, but nothing happens... it just sits there and churns away. This started happening about a week ago and I was able to run using the eq2.exe but now i'm doomed.

yes Im running as admin etc etc etc... tried uac settings... still yuck.

Gonna try a few compatiblility modes to see if i can get around all this.

I'm having the same issue:

"There was a problem moving C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEverQuest2.exe_delta_8685_297.patched to C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe. Please make sure the game is not running."

The game is definitely not running. I've tried deleting these files and rerunning the client with no success. I removed the game and reinstallled EVERYTHING which fixed it, but it's back now after multiple logins since and there has to be a better way.
