failed to init arial error

<p>having the same problem as many others. downloaded trial and cannot start game due to this error. i have done everything that has been told to do. download the arial family, deleting the fonts and reinstalling them. none of these "fixes" have worked yet. im runnin windows vista and cannot find a working fix. i have even extracted the arial fonts from the download into the fonts folder in eq2.</p><p>please help. im wanting to try this game out and hopefully join.</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>I see you mention reinstalling arial, but please try doing so from safe mode using the following link:</p><p><a href="http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/corefonts/arial32.exe?download" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/...32.exe?download</a></p><p>Once you've done so, avoid starting any Microsoft Office applications until starting the game again.  Let us know if the problem persists at that point.</p>
