I have been away for a while but I do remember that some npc vendors gave better prices for selling your mob loot then others.

I forget the name of the zone(you take the air ship from the sinking sands) ...I remember that zone had better prices for selling your loot but I wanted to check for others.

Thanks

I want to say its vendors in your home city but I have heard it said that faction has something to do with it aswell.

I'm pretty sure that all vendors now pay what they pay regardless of faction, except when they won't talk to you at all of course. They also all charge the same, so the fuel vendors in Kunark aren't ripping you off anymore, as an example.

Having said that, I still habitually go to one vendor near my home to sell even though he is no longer the best price.

Apparently I need to pay more attention. I could have sworn differential pricing was removed.

Your sale value with a vendor is directly proportionate to your faction score with them. Case in point. At your starting faction, selling a vendor purchased mount back to the vendor will normally net you about 50% of the purchase price. But if you are at max city faction for that vendor, then you can get around 70-80% of the original price back.

It is also interesting to note that it is more advantageous to sell things to vendors outside of your home city. A strange, but true, fact. You see, city faction caps out at +40,000. However faction groups in areas of RoK cap out at +50,000. As a result, I will try to warp hammer out to the Danak Shipyards in JW for selling things since the quest series has put me at max faction with them. Though it's not a large increase, I do get more of a monetary return selling to them (when I have the time) than I would with my home city (whom I have max faction with).

Barkeepers usually buy for the most.

Guild Merchants do aswell.

The only real difference I've seen is that the Terren's Grasp merchants are price-gougers until you have faction. Just sell to someone you've got great faction with.

Bowyers for some reason seem to give far superior returns - selling a 40% mount the bowyer was giving over 1.5 plat better than the horse merchant. Seems to hold with most loot - this was with a low level character with pretty well no faction with anyone.

Gratified merchants give you the most coin for your loots.

The merchants in the Courts of Maj'Dul are pretty generous when buying your loot, once you have max faction with them.

Are there any there (or anywhere else in the game) that will be you a plat or more for a piece of loot?

Prices have pretty much become the same across the board for everyone regardless. Gratified merchants, anyone inside a city, in the guildhall.. I've tested them all and they all give the same amounts.

Even at max ally faction, Terren's Grasp still charges you more and gives you less than usual though.

There really is no difference anymore with a few exceptions that charge more and pay less.

Well, other than my fabled epic, I haven't seen anything worth a plat yet. i've come close to it with 96 gold once for a piece of fabled, but that was it.
