<p>Certain x64 systems get the error "The program can't start because MSVCP71.dll is missing from your computer" upon initial startup, then later whenever you use the ingame /browser command.</p><p>After some research, I found the issue is a missing DLL in the C runtime library, and it only shows up with certain system configurations. To fix, just grab the <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=90548130-4468-4BBC-9673-D6ACABD5D13B&displaylang=en" target="_blank">Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x64)</a> from Microsoft and run it.</p><p>TSRs, can y'all refer this to the development bug queue?</p>

<p>Windows 7 64bit</p><p>I fixed it by searching for msvcp71.dll and found a version of it in Legends of Norrath folder C:UsersPublicSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IILegendsOfNorrath</p><p>I then copied it too C:WindowsSysWOW64</p><p>I no longer have the error.</p>
