Sword and Mages

<p>Am I the only person around that really really wishes I could wield a sword? </p><p>I don't expect to be able to do much along the lines of melee dps... but I would definitely feel safer with a sword over a stick! (but more specifically it would look cooler). </p><p>What do you think the chances are?</p>

<p>There are number of sword-length weapons that mages can wield.  Check out the Sabre of Death Dealing, for instance.</p>

I'm personally quite partial to the Mercurial Windblade (Drusella in Maiden's Chamber). Nice black sword with lightning trails, when you engage into combat lightning bolts come down from the sky into the sword. aITEM -1323144826 -1692828690:Mercurial Windblade/a

There's enough dagger options that you'll need to define "good looking". I'd recommend hit up 1-80, attuneable, primary, piercing, coercer for filters on the broker. May want to go through fabled, then legendary, then mastercrafted separately. I do know several people who like the SOH dagger that has the subjugation resist focus. The staff from the crab x2 instance is also popular, as long as you have a symbol appearance that gives you the 2h bo staff swing animation rather than the clunky swing from the back animation.
