Hi,

This may not be the right place but surely someone here would know.

I have held an account for a while and started my character back in 2005. About a year ago I decided that I wanted to take a break, I had just gotten a new GF, new job that sort of thing. Requires attention you know?

Well anyhow it turns out that my account got hacked and I only just got it back (harder then it sounds by the way ). My character is still here but it is not ME anymore. It feels dirty and guilt ridden and I hate it.

Its almost 20 levels higher then when I was last playing, he left my house in north freeport and moved into an inn in stonestair, he sold and destroyed all my loot, things like the spire statues and little collectibles you know? I also have 16 Plat and a buttload of rares I never ever had before. Sure its awesome to have 16 plat but it aint mine and I dont [Removed for Content] want it.

Does SOE have the ability to roll a character back in terms of levels? I realise my items will most likely be gone forever which annoys me a great deal but I dont want a 20 level jump. I have played the same character for 4 years and I dont want to change that now.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Oh he also dicked with my spells and my guild died in the time I spent trying to get my account back

I do believe that if you contact SOE and ask politely with a cherry on top that they would be able to roll your toon back to a specific date and with that (more than likely) all of your items and such would be returned as well. But don't forget to be super nice about it cause this would involve quite some time and research to rollback all that data. But they might be willing to do it on a one time basis.

Best of luck to you,

-Avi

I know how you feel, even though I havent gone through that sort of thing. But, I would reroll as a new character, possibly on a new server. If he played your char so much, you never know what else was done (perhaps was rude to old friends who thought it was you, or to someone else). Reputation is hard to restore.

I like things clean, and simple. Plus, I like the whole game and not just the high levels.

Maybe start a new char and play differently; such as doing more level locking to build up AAs at an early level. Just do everything "new", so that the old dirty feeling can't come back. Clean breaks and all (which isn't the same as a bad fall in the shower ).

If you haven't already, please use the /petition system to contact the GMs and make your request. Honestly, I can't say whether or not they will be able to do so because I am not a member of the in game team. Hopefully they should be able to correct this for you, though. Let us know if you have any further questions.
