I love the stories from "The Tome of Destiny," and I'd really like to have them in our guild library. I can't find any mention of this tome as an in-game book, though, so I suppose it doesn't exist.

Is that really the case, and if so, why? I'd sure enjoy a lore-heavy questline that would enable me to gather the 12 chapters -- maybe as individual books -- with a big quest at the end that would bind the 12 books into a beautiful, glorious tome that could be displayed in a place of honor in our library.

I second the motion!

it'd be great to see it as a house item with the graphic they gave it in the mage towers of each city.

There isnt an official game book but this was one of the first sets of books I transcribed for my library when player written books came into the game.

Anyone on Bazaar that would like to obtain a copy, send me a tell in game and we can arrange a publishing session

But if we all band together and beg with pretty puppy eyes, then maybe we can get *real* books, instead of player-written things!

/snort..now Aurelis...I know you have little tolerance for player made books, but to call them THINGS....sounds sorta..racist...err bookist to me. Now, say you're sorry

What? WHAT? I just want [Removed for Content]' books with no [Removed for Content]' player names attached to their titles! Is that so much to ask? Really? *siiiiigh*

Fine. Hi player-written books. I'm sorry I called you 'things.' I promise that I won't do it again.

Well, there's this person in another thread who doesn't want titles over his replicas, perhaps you two can band together?

I would personally rather see the broken ones fixed first so those can be acquired and then create new ones. As for player books - I rather like them. I really dont see the problem with peoples names attached to them. After all, if someone took the time to do a transcription OR write a unqiue volume, guide, etc they should get credit for it.

For lore junkies it really gives us the opportunity to fill in the gaps in the libraries for NPC chat, web lore, quests books that arent placeable etc.

My two cents, take it for what its worth.

The transcription of Tome of Destiny is 16 books btw if anyone is interested. There are also about 30 additional titles that are currently being transcribed for inclusion in our guild library and the list is growing as additional information is being identified.

What? Fix broken ones? I would absolutely HATE it if they did that. You have some really strange ideas there, Artemiz. I think you're the only person who would want that... d:

As far as player-written books go, I'll make this clear. I don't have anything against them per se. I just don't count them as real books, even if they are transcribed official lore. I may or may not make use of them in the future but as far as I'm concerned, they don't raise the count of total books. They're additional side-bonuses at best. d:
