<p>Ok so did my first EQ2 raid tonight- Thuuga.  Was interesting and quite confusing at first.  On the plus side, I learned that with the Profit UI I could heal/cure everyone in group/raid without actually having to target them which will help a ton in grouping to keep dps up while doing healing duties.</p><p>So my question is how does everyone actually do healing and such during raids?  Do you go keyboard only and F1-6 to target people and number keys to cast?  Or do you use mouse to point and click hotbars?  Or Profit UI?</p><p>From EQ1 experience I know using keyboard commands can be good when things are hectic, especially if there is lag going on.  But the UI buttons were awesome for being able to keep the mob targeted the whole time and keep melee dps going in between heal/cure casts.</p><p>Any/all tips and suggestions welcome!</p>

<p>Mouse for clicking people in the raid window in other groups and occasionally for clicking on adds for debuffing, but otherwise I try to use the keyboard as much as possible. It's just faster for me. I don't use profit UI myself, but some people swear by it.</p>

<div>Myth and heal stance = Heal and Do something Else; No Myth = more heal button pushing than you will later....</div><div>________________________________</div><div>Unclick Devotion, Equip Myth Hotkey, Unclick Offensive Stance, Use Alleviation, Equip 2H, Hit Devotion, Click Offensive Stance</div><div>On rough fights I might actually try and go in heal stance before unloading alleviation but then again its a raid and other group members have stuff to make your heals get bigger.</div><div>For cures, it's hotkey myth - press clicky, hotkey 2H</div><div>_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _  _</div><div>But really, Judging your healing capacity on Thugga/Levi is a bad metric to compare yourself to.  One zone you're feared half the time, and the other all the trash you should be trying to parse not heal while on the name you just cure. </div><div>_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _</div><div>Plus the Inq Myth is once of the biggest item "<strong>Power Discontinuities"</strong> in the game.  I.E. Full Master/T2/200 w/o Myth << Full Master/T2/200 w/Myth in healing ability.  You will find life waaaaayyyyyy easier (more equal) when you get it.</div><div>But alas, without the myth it's hard to heal equally as well as an unmythed Templar, anyone who says the 50% double cast for the single and AOE heals isn't that big of a deal on our smaller but more frequent heals is lying.  It allows you to dps or debuff or do something else than chain spam heals (even M1) that you might do sometimes w/o your myth.</div><div>I think our myth "holds" our equilibration mechanics since not all classes rise <em>smoothly</em> in POWER.  When some classes claim OP status or whatnot it usually is a result of player x being stuck at an intermediate gear step or lacks some equipment meant to "makeup" for inherent design weakness of the class compared to an equally geared cousin class.  We won't even go into the fact that some "gear steps" can be easier/harder creating population inversions of players (ex: Everyone is a SK over other tanks for what reason exactly....?).</div>

<p>Tks for the suggestions.</p><p>Attended my first WoE raid tonight- went pretty rough.  Everyone said there was something weird going on because the whole raid seemed to be taking a lot of ae damage, but even so I found myself wondering what I could be doing better as I kept losing group members (dps group healer).</p><p>Do reactives not trigger on ae's?  I was keeping group reactives up and single target reactives on people that seemed to be taking the most damage, and everytime there was some ae I'd look over and see none of the triggers on either group or single reactives used.  I thought it said they go anytime someone takes damage, but does that not apply to ae or was something wrong?</p><p>Also had people that would drop from full health down to 10-20% in one shot and while I was casting fast heal on them they'd be dead already.  I think I'm relatively quick getting the heal going but in some cases I don't know how I could have healed them fast enough.</p><p>Fyi I'm in T1 healing shard gear w/ fabled and a mix or other legendary gear for the most part.  Think my heal mod is 350 in my heal set.</p><p>Any feedback appreciated- was a pretty discouraging night overall.</p>

<p>The best response to groupwide AOE:</p><p>     70%+ Heal Crit T2+, Myth, Heal Stance, Master I Alleviation --> if double cast then everyone is full, if not double cast then cast again when up. </p><p>     I can even get away with Alleviation on AOE when I'm in DPS gear, Offensive Stance, hotkeying Myth before casting it if it's not a rough fight.</p>

<p>Well I found out that part of the issue is reactives don't trigger on dot's, only direct damage (melee or nuke).  So basically if the primary AE damage is coming from a dot rather than a nuke it's a waste of time to keep the group reactive up because it's not going to do much.</p><p>The other thing that I was struggling with are big ae dot's that are of a type that I can't group cure.  If there wasn't a shaman or druid in group who could get it, then I'm left trying to single target cure and sometimes that's just not fast enough.</p><p>On the plus side, I only need Levi and Nex for myth and that will take care of the group cure problem as well as adding in the group heal bonus as well.</p><p>Thanks for the replies again- doesn't seem to be a lot of activity in this forum so I appreciate the people who do post.</p>
