Worth doing level 20 armor quests nowadays?

<p>I just rerolled after years away and I had a question:</p><p>So, is it worth doing the 20's armor quests nowadays, or just grind and worry about gear later? I'm not in a rush to get to the end, as I'm casual and enjoying the journey, but I fear that I level so fast that the gear may not last too long.</p><p>Thanks!</p><p>Grazmok (LDL server)</p>

<p>It depends what your gaming objective is. Though in every case, you won't do the quests for the rewards since mastercrafted armor are way better.If you want to rush to level 80 then, you can probably bypass most of the T1-T5 quests. Just visit as many zones and kill as many named as possible. Such a choice will force you to grind AA at the end though and will probably not be very enjoyable.</p><p>Another way to enjoy the game is to take your time and do as many quests as possible. There are a huge number of interesting quests that are really worth the time you will spend on them, just for the pleasure to complete them. A side effect is that your character will develop a large number of AA and will become quite powerfull to overcome most of old days opponents that used to require a full group. I have 4 lvl 80 characters with 200 AAs, but I also have a level 29 illusionist with 56AA who's just finished discovering nektulos and he's really providing a very nice gaming experience.</p><p>Back, to your topic, do the armor quests <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>The armour quests are worth it for : "AAs" and "appearance" (some of the AQ armour is pretty decent looking). other than that... you'll prob get better trash drops and certainly better mastercrafted.</p><p>Back in "the day" they were great as you spent more time getting use out of them and mastercrafted was rediculously expensive. now apart from the two reasons I've mentioend not worth looking into.</p>

<p>Thanks for the advice! It seems like the levelling has slowed a bit, and ya, I'm not in a rush. So, I got my gloves now, and it's just time to work on the rest. I'm also finding it a nice re-introduction to the Freeport area since I spent most of my time out in Gorowyn this time around. The additional benefit, is that I'm picking up tons of easy quests to do while I'm in the commonlands. Fun stuff!</p><p>-thanks</p><p>Grazmok</p>
