Well finally got the game to install thanks to the helpful people on this forum, but I still cant play it!

I got EQ2 the complete collection from someone 3 days ago as a late birthday gift, just activated it yesterday, and it says it comes with a 60 day subscription.

But when I try to log in, it says "Trying to login to server #1..." for a few seconds, then says it can't connect. I'm not using a router, my firewall is turned off, and I have a good connection.

So I came on here and clicked "My Account", and check my subscription, it says it's closed.

So what do I do from here?

EDIT #1:

Okay, I think it was because I couldn't get Station Launcher to work so I could update EQ2, but it's working now. BUT, it still says I have no subscription. I've never heard of EQ2, I got it as a gift. I sure as hell won't pay $15 for the subscription fee for a game I've never heard of when I was supposed to have it for free with addons for 2 months.

So why is it not adding the 60 day subscription to my account when I already activated the game? I tried reactivating and what do you know, it remembers that I already activated it with that code (so I can't use it again!) but it sure doesn't remember that I haven't even started it yet, and that its only been a day!

EDIT #2:

I just realized, but on Station Launcher it says "The Shadow Odyssey All-in-one is activated, but when I highlight it and click continue, it makes you choose a subscription plan. I don't know if I'll still be playing the game after the free 60 days, why do I need to pay for more before using them?

Do I really have to sign up for a PAID subscription before I can use my "FREE" one?

If you do it with a credit card you can cancel anytime during the first 60 days and the card will not be billed, if you use a game card there is no refund

We almost always sign up for a month and then cancel again, just because we sometimes forget and then get recurring charges when we aren't playing. Most people just like the game and pay each month, but we are cheapskates. Been doing that now for about 10 years in EQ1 and EQ2.
