And still some not-so-bright-person (to put it very mildly) managed to "decorate" the city for holidays... ho cute.

Now really, please we are not all 10 years old a bit of good judgement goes a long way in a game.

Seems to me that we're in a slight lull in the badness going on in Freeport at the moment. Yes there's a lot of badness happening, but overall the fires are out, the buildings are mostly stable, etc.... In the light of such a disaster, once the immediate recovery has been done and everyone isn't in Survival mode, doing little things like putting up decorations can be big for the mental health of the populace, to reassure them that things are returning to normal. (Or just say the Frostfell Elves did it. )

You know the Tree at Rockefeller Center was put up in 2001, The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade went on in 2001. There where Chrismas Celibrations durring WW2 all over the Christain World. Things like that are needed most in times of strife because it takes peoples minds away from the problems around them for a bit.

Freeport, well known for it's merriment in the face of near anarchy following this disappearance of it's leader.

I get what everyone is saying. But I totally agree with the OP. The Frostfell decorations going in the very day after the event started, and centered in the same zone, ruined the mood for me. It wouldn't have killed them to move the decorations/quest hub/etc at least to another portion of the city. It was in poor taste, and made me roll my eyes at an event that I'd been crazy excited for.

It wasn't holiday decorations a month after September 11th. It was setting up your Christmas tree at ground zero on September 12th. Made me facepalm :/

As a Qeynosian, I consider the destruction of Freeport to be a good reason to say Happy Holidays.
