Best Class to partner with an Assassin

<p>So my friend and I always duo up and he wants to be an assassins so I was thinking of going something that can hold aggro as well as heal so he can do this damamge like crazy. I was thinking Pally, Templar, Mystic something like that</p><p>any thoughts?</p>

<p>paly.</p><p>templar or mystic would be a very bad choice I think as they might be able to heal you, but they will never hold agro, and you'll always be having a hard time getting behind the mob, not able to use all your combat arts</p>

<p>Unless you are willing to betray, you have to be a good race to roll a pally. </p><p>I can't remember which races are evil only, that's something you'll have to either look up, or check into on the screen when you're rolling the toon. </p><p>Also, spending 25 bucks on a race change potion is an option.</p>

<p>Pally is good.  SKs are good as well, and, if you're both starting out from scratch, you don't have to try and meet up in a more neutral area, you can both start in the evil cities.  But, either way, both crusaders are a nice duoing partner.  SKs have good taunts (especially with hate transfer), Pallys have amends.  Both can heal themselves.  Pallys have rez, SKs can FD themselves OR the assassin if they can't taunt the mob off and SKs have evac as well as the assassin (double evac is nice at times).  And both have some nice AoEs to complement the more single target focus of the assassin. </p><p>Basically, either is good depending on whether or not you want to group with the goody-two-shoes Pally who will constantly try to lecture you about your "evil" ways (well, evil in his eyes anyway . . . good opportunities is what I calls 'em!) or someone that won't just look the other way when you're stealing candy from a baby, but will hold the mother down to help you out.  <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>I like what Charn said.  SK or Pally.  The shadowknight would be my first pick since you can start off in the same city.  Or if your friend wants to start as a ranger as i did and betray <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" /> then you could both start off as good characters.  But don't roll a healer.. your friend will love you more if you can keep agro and he can use all his backstabs!</p>
