View Full Version : Installing from disc with windows 7?

<p>Is there a way to install from disc on windows 7, I have a few copies of the game, various expansions and I cant get any of them to install.</p><p>Is downloading the client my only option?</p>

<p>Oh sorry yes, error message..</p><p>It flagged it up as a compatibility issue, then offered a reccomended compatibility to install, after selecting that nothing happens with no more dialogue boxes.</p>

Another option is to copy the dvd to the hard drive, the locate the setup program and right click then set the compatibility mode from there and launch, after it installs delete the directy you copied the dvd into. Sorry have never touched the dvd's when I bought retail box, always downloaded from the patcher on new installs.</p>

<p>Also, make sure you are doing these steps as well:</p><p>1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"</p>

<p>That did it thanks guys, couldnt get the compatibility options while the files were on the disc.</p>
