Since the last patch, my guild has been experiencing massive lag in potao. We are having 1-3 second lag on combat arts and spells while there but not anywhere else. In 70s chat, some others were saying it was the same for them. Is this a Lucan D'Lere thing or an all servers thing and is anyone looking into it? We have an Anashti waiting to be killed and coming back the next day doesn't seem to be working.

As bad as 4-5 sec cast lag since forever if there's lots of raids going on on Splitpaw. Not something that came with last patch this side of the atlantic at least.

I was getting bad lag and frame rates down to almost 1 at times. Posted in Tech support forums (those listed along very top of the forum page) and they said it is a Shadow Problem they are working on.

FIX: Change to CPU Shadowns instead of GPU ones, OR switch Shadows off totally till it is found and fixed. Lowering graphics doesn't help at all.

And I'm on Splitpaw Server too.

So thanks for your (unhelpful) answer.

My guild raids starting at 10pm PST until 2am PST, and we also experience this lag. Clearly its not due to over crowding in the zone, as we're the only guild who raids these hours. I made it through the first named last night before I had to turn my graphics down to make it playable again. By the time we took the portal to switchmasters, I was under 10FPS and the spell lag was horrid. I hardly ever lag anywhere else.

Coming back at the same time of day doesn't help, since peak usage is usually the same. Which zone is selected is more or less random based on where people decide to go. So if it's still lagged, come back later at night when usage has died down. Also, you're forgetting that it's not just based on your server alone. It's based on whatever other servers you're shared with, as all servers do. I've seen Palace lag lately after the patch, but it hasn't been anything special - it's the same old lag it's always been. You're probably just seeing more usage on your particular cluster now.

Understand now? And incidentally, the lag he's describing, server-lag based delays on recognizing commands, has absolutely nothing to do with framerates. If you're seeing anything at all related to framerate lag, then it's an entirely seperate issue.

I hardly EVER get spell lag, but last night I was feeling it. The graphical lag may or may not have been a factor, but I know I had spell lag, something I rarely experience so I notice alot when it happens.

And again, I raid at off times, and still experience the same lag. The lag is limited to a single zone, as I didn't lag in the other zones we raided last night.

10-11PM PST isn't really off-peak yet. Lag usually takes an hour or two to really die down after that, especially on friday or saturday. You only mentioned the first named and switchmaster along with noting graphical lag, so I assumed it was just a combination of leftover lag from peak times and your own unrelated graphical issues, but I admit to being wrong if you entered Palace much later. If you were seeing that lag at switchmaster at 5AM on a weekday, I'll concede the point that something unusual is probably going on, even if it looks the same on laggier servers.
