Between Zone's I Drop

<p>Hello, just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem i keep having, most of the time when i want to go from one zone to the next i click on the Zone window (door or what ever) and i DC, and end up back at the Character Selection Screen and hav to wait a few mins before i can log back into the game, this is starting to get bad as people are having to wait for me to log back in and its starting to get to me and slowling down my progress,  <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" /> , anyone have an idea on how i can fix this problem??</p><p>Many Thanks</p><p>Valkillmore</p>

<p>Greetings,The problem you're describing sounds like it could be a router issue.  Disconnect issues with only certain character(s) usually mean that the router is blocking one of the ports used by the game.  I would advise bypassing your router and plugging your computer directly into the modem as a first step.  If you try that and it corrects your issue then you'll need to configure your router if you wish to continue using it.The following site has great information about router configuration:<a href="http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.portforward.com/english/...routerindex.htm</a>Simply select the router you are using, then select the 'skip this advertisement' button in the upper right, and finally select Everquest 2 on the following page.  You will then be presented with a walkthrough on how to forward the correct ports.  Please respond if you need any further assistance.</p>
