How exactly does "weapon damage bonus" work?

<p>How exactly does "weapon damage bonus" work?  We get it in a couple of different places on the shadows tree.  is it a flat addition to damage or does it work like dps?  Please help clarify or point me in the direction of a post that clarifies this.  I have done my own search with very poor results.</p><p>Thanks for the help in advance.</p>

<p>Straight multiplier to autoattack damage. Stacks with everything else. So functionally similar to how DPS works, but stacks.</p>

<p>You won't find much discussion of it, because the devs haven't seen fit to post any real explanation of it.  You can see, clearly, the results of adding it.  It increases your auto attack damage.  Exactly where in the process this bonus is applied, no one really knows.</p><p>I wouldn't be at all surprised to start seeing this on items in Sentinel's Fate.</p>
